CA 1995 BMW 325ic M Sport factory Hardtop Convertible 5 speed manual 185k NICE
1995 BMW 3-Series ///M Sport Description
Hello, I am selling my White 1995 BMW 325ic 5-speed manual Convertible with the factory installed color-coded hardtop option installed. This car is equipped with the sports package. Real Black leather interior with Dual power seats adorn the interior. The stereo has been replaced with an aftermarket Cd player of the top tier by JVC. The stereo system sounds good. The Engine is very powerful, very smooth and quiet. The engine has been upgraded in a few ways,( I purchased the car with a blown head gasket, which is my standard practice, I have made a hobby out of reconditioning these older, still-desirable, *it-BMW models of the late 80's to mid 2000's models. I.e. the last best-built, most emotion-inducing BMW's to be manufactured.) First off, I replaced the standard OBD2 325i cylinder head, with one from a 1997 328i, along with that came new head gasket, head bolts, gaskets, spark plugs, filters, BMW approved fluids, etc. the 328i has conical shaped valve springs ( stock *1995 525i has these also...) which are designed for higher revs and smoothness, the 328i also has lighter-and counter-balanced camshafts. So along with the head and springs, came the OBD2 328i intake ca, which has a "better breathing" profile, and it is counter-balanced, so...the 2.5L is taking bigger, better gulps of air, and is smoother from being balanced. Lastly, the spring plate re-design for OBD2 M52 engines that *eliminate vanos-rattle has been applied to this engine as well. No more vanos rattle ever. Plus smooth consistent vanos operation you can feel. This little M50 is now a great dynamic motor. In the upper RPM's, it still has long legs to stretch. No flat spots in acceleration. It's a noticeable difference in many ways. It is closer to the OBD2 2.5L M52 323i engine found in 1997+ E36 bodies... No leaks tops off the icing to the engine cake.
The 5 speed transmission is a nothing to talk about area of the car. It is silent in neutral with no grumbling, the clutch is perfectly smooth. No vibration, no judder on take-up whatsoever. Strong. Good Clutch Master and Slave cylinders. Perfect...
The driveshaft/drivetrain has no complaints, solid center bearing, no vibration in 2nd gear, no nothing, flawless driveline.
The paint and body are good. Some clear coming off on hood. Slight rub on the rear passenger fender well. No frame or bumper damage out back.
This car has the ///M3 sports styling package in Original BMW components : Front bumper, Side skirts, Rear bumper, all Genuine BMW.
The interior is near perfect, with the driver side showing the effects from the love of driving.
The suspension is perfect. It has been replaced using BMW original SACHS brand struts and shocks. The ride is amazing. No looseness whatsoever. The struts and shocks absorb any harshness in a classy civilized way. Never upset.
This car is equipped with what I would call a class 2 subframe reinforcement. Its all one piece and *beefier than the one you normally see...And its made out of formed aluminum. just this piece has to be worth a few hundred. I've *never seen this style. The car doesn't feel like a convertible. It feels like a hardtop.
Front Strut brace installed.
This is a turn key car. During the cylinder head replacement process, everything was looked over and checked or replaced. There will be no mechanical failures from this car, except due to possible future owner-negligence. The way it sits you would have to really try hard to mess this car up... It's already a tank, and it has been rebuilt, produced and offered by Me... This car never has to *break down... Just be maintained. It's that easy enough. Jiffy lube Midas and Sears could handle this car, there are no major jobs requiring and independent BMW specialist work needing to be done. But be sure to request Original BMW or German aftermarket replacement parts. Even down to the Oil filter...
Car will come with Clean title and CA smog certificate for CA buyers.
For my out of state buyers : This car is a go anywhere anytime car. On my eBay and personal word, if you flew in from New York, to San Diego International Airport, I would come pick you up, and you could drive it all the way back, the first time, with no unscheduled stops, smiles all the way. The car is in excellent mechanical shape. If you like the way the car looks. You will love everything else... * Guaranteed.
Thanks for Looking. Happy Bidding...
Last note : The 328i head used the 1-hole for the 4-prong temperature sensor for OBD2 systems. I made a custom pigtail like the TMS (Turner Motorsports) on, and now it utilizes the better, more precise temperature readings from the 1998+ sensor. *Without cutting into the original harness :-)
No check engine light. *More power *Better emissions. And All perfectly legal...
