I am selling my 1979 BMW 633 CSI. It has 117K miles documented to 1979. The engine is an inline 6 cylinder making around 250 horsepower. The brakes have approx. 60% rear and 40% front. The tires have 50% rear and 40% front tread remaining. This is a California car from purchase until now, and there is no rust anywhere on the car at all.
Everything works in the car. Options include power windows, power locks, power sunroof, air conditioning, heat, upgraded Alpine speakers and deck, as well as numerous upgrades to the engine. The suspension has been upgraded with new shocks and springs, the fuel injectors have been completely replaced, the alternator has been replaced, and all of the fuses have been upgraded and replaced. I have documentation to show all of the upgrades that have been done to this beautiful car.
I am graduating in two weeks and moving to New York where I will have no need for this beautiful car. I have taken great care of this automobile and have all of the documentation to show what improvements have been undertaken. I am the third owner of this car, and I will be sad to see it go. Hopefully, the person who buys it will take good care of it just as I have. The leather and the exterior are in immaculate condition.
The wheels are by BBS and are original to 1979 when BMW made BBS wheels a custom order option for these models. The engine sounds and runs great, and I drive it on the highway for an average trip of around 60 miles when I do take it out. The car is very reliable. The VIN number is 5530108, because this is a 1979 vehicle and was produced just a couple years before the standardized VIN numbers went into effect. I have all of the documentation relating to this vehicle in my possession. This car is almost 40 years old, and it looks amazing in the photographs, and I just want to remind potential buyers that a 40 year old car has signs of wear and tear, but you really have to look in order to see them. The car is in amazing condition overall. The only thing thatdoesn't seem to work all the time is the air conditioning. Sometimes the fan spins up and makes a slight clicking sound, other times it works just fine. Also, the hazard lights switch was disconnected because the switch itself needs to be replaced, and sometimes the hazard lights will turn on and not turn off unless you get lucky and press the hazard button in just the right way to turn off the hazard lights. Other than those two issues, the air conditioning occasionally being uppity, and the hazard light switch needing replacement, everything else in the car works, and I mean literally everything. The car really is in amazing condition overall for a 40 year old car.
Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions or would like to meet me to view the car in person. My personal cell is 925-three-three-zero-7075. Thanks and I look forward to finding a new and responsible home for my car.
