2006 BMW 5-Series Description

2006 BMW 530, Only 115k Miles!No Reserve. Nice Condition. 10 day Listing

What it IsThis is our 2006 BMW. My mom and dad (80 and 85 years young) bought it many years ago. Since then I have driven it. It runs great and I am auctioning the car at NO RESERVE since I have just purchased aVolkswagen

What's the Story? This car is affectionately known as Gandalf the White. my son and daughter named it and it has been carving the roads in Coloradoand Texas for years. This will make somebody a great car. it's in pretty good condition but could use some Tender Loving Care to make it "perfect". I am selling it because I need the room since the purchase of my "new" VolkswagenI've got it listed for auction at NO RESERVE! It's located in Lubbock, Texas.

ConditionOverall, the condition is good for its age. The mileage is only 115000. There are a few blemishes on the paint and trim which I have shown in pictures. Mechanically, the car is terrific. The car has been well maintained. The electronics, Air Conditioning, power seats and windows all work as they should. I know of nothing that needs to be repaired mechanically. The tires are fairly new and have plenty of tread on them. The after market wheels add to the curb appeal, I think Cosmetically, there are a few things I would do if I were going to keep the car. Here’s my list

1. Polish the headlight lenses. All work fine. It just looks aged.

2. Clean the tan leather interior. The leather is in good shape, but needs a good cleaning.

3. It has a cracked windshield. Works fine obviously…it’s just cracked and not “perfect”.

4. The truck lid top surface has faded oxidized clear coat. The area of the trunk lid is not smooth and shiny. You might consider polishing or recoating.

5. The carpets could be cleaned.

6. A trim piece came off the cup holder and needs glued back on.

The car drives great in town and on the highway. I get about 30 MPG on the road, with the AC on! The brakes are fine and the transmission is a smooth as butter. It will make a nice ride for someone.

What You GetYou get the car, the owner’s manuals, 1 key remote and a valet key, floor mats, and Bill of Sale and title. You will also get an airport pick-up, if you need it. Let me address this "Lemon" issue that shows up on the title. As I understand it......the car comes from the Left Coast. If a car has an issue out there, the car can be deemed a "lemon". The buyer of the car can leverage this "lemon" status and score a new car from the dealer. From what I understand, this happened. My father contacted the original BMW dealer to get the scoop on the car, and specifically what made the car a "lemon". It turns out that the car had a radiator leak when it was under warranty. The BMW dealer replaced the radiator and, since then it's been fine. But the "damage" was done. It's a"lemon".This all happened before my father owned the car. The car does not leak radiator fluid now, nor has it ever since he purchased the car.

You know California..........what a bunch of wimps. A leaking radiator gets you a new car ! God Bless Texas ! (Oh....sorry if I offended y'all)
