2001 BMW 7-Series 750il Sport Description

The BMW e38 7-series is easily the most iconic 7-series in BMW history. This is a rare, from the factory sport package, (according to Wikipedia, there were only 4,039 produced from '98 to '01, so this is likely 1 of a hundred or less with the true sport package '01's) example of the final year of production of this BMW flagship. No expense was spared with a leather wrapped dash, center console and door panels, power front and rear seats, power shades, luxury interior lighting, wide-screen NAV (updated to last, most recent version of SW) and every other modern convenience of today's cars.
I am a BMW enthusiastand love these cars. I bought this car a year and a half ago... since then I have had the leather cleaned and dyed, repaired all pixels in dash console, replaced headliner, wheel scuffs repaired, transmission rebuilt by a BMW specialist here in Atlanta, upgraded speakers to Bavarian Soundwerks (Bavsound), upgraded Bluetooth module (works with current iPhones), replaced rear differential with 740i sport for more low end torqueand fixed any other item I could find wrong.
All electronics work (e.g., seats, widows, shades, etc.), no check engine lights and the engine runs strong with a fresh synthetic oil change. The previous owner had replaced the radiator, expansion tank and power steering lines have all been done by the previous owner.
What's left to be done? The body is a 7 out of 10 due to what appear to be several golf ball dings from the previous owner, usualaging of rubber seals on windshield and other exterior plastic trim. This is a CA car that had the 100k factory warranty and I have all receipts from that period. I believe I am the 3rd owner after the previous owner bought it from a physician.
I bought the car with the intent of restoring it to near show room condition and all that remains is the dings, paint and some trim/seal pieces. If you love the classic lines of the e38 and would like to own a rare and reliable one (the V12's are actually more reliable than the V8 740's as they don't have the complicated VANOS valve technology), than you should look at this.
Why am I selling? I now have 7 vehicles... I was seduced into buying a 2011 750i and am also embarking on a Range Rover Classic Restoration. Although I'd love to park it and drive it occasionally, I just don't have the room for that many vehicles. I purchased the vehicle for $7,500 and have since invested almost $4,000 for which I have receipts. Please email if you'd like any extra pictures or have questions.
ALMOST RISK FREE GUARANTEE: Buying a car unseen off the internet is risky. I know because I've done it. I'm happy to provide a money back offer - less $250 for listing fees and my time/energy if you decide you don't want the car after viewing it or having it inspected locally. Of course, that will have to occur here in Atlanta, not after shipping somewhere.
