1990 BMW 7-Series Description

I bought this car about 7 months and went through it thoroughly with the intentions of keeping it for a long time but my needs changed and I bought a Sequoia and have decided to sell my classic BMW's (i have my 90 535i, 74k also posted) and start my search for a Z4M Coupe. My friend and BMW enthusiast and mechanic and I went through the car and fixed all issues. Car is turnkey, solid, and very nice. Conversation piece wherever I go and I've never seen another quite like this one. Recent road trip to FL and it performed flawlessly. This is a really solid, well sorted car that has been maintained very well. My mechanic was amazed just how well the car performs. Maintenance all within the last 2000 miles as follows:
RadiatorThermostatHeater control valveAuxillary water pumpAFE drop-in air filterUpper control armsAC conversion & receiver/drier replacement (ICE COLD in sticky Alabama heat)Trunk strutsB&B Triflow FULL STAINLESS STEEL cat-back exhaust (sounds wonderful) It did have an AC Schnitzer exhaust when I bought it but it was rusted and the tip was bent and had seen its better daysOEM Blaupunkt Business CD player radio (sounds very good and looks like it came in the car)18' Staggered M Parallel wheels from 01 740i sport4 new tires 235/40fr & 265/35r
Car needed nothing else. Clutch is good and car shifts very smoothly through all gears.Completely rust free
CONS:1) In the one pic where i am pointing the paint is slightly fading (detail guy said he could cut and buff it for $125 and it will look new)2) Center vent flapper motor for drivers side is weak. It opens but it seems to take a while longer than the passenger side. No noises but just slow.
NOW as for the AC Schnitzer decals I did some research and even found a German 7'er forum and asked some questions. THIS IS NOT A FULLY MODDED AC SCHNITZER CAR. IF it were I would be asking Alpina kind of money for it but this is what I have been able to confirm:
Suspension springs are AC Schnitzer springs and newer Bilsteins in front.AC Schnitzer decals are authenticAt about 4000rpm this car really comes to life. I'm not sure of the internals but it idles smoother and pulls harder than any M30 engine I've ever had (even my other chipped M30 535i) and I've had about 10 over my life.I will also say the differential feels torquier in the lower gears. 2nd & 3rd at 4000rpm in this car is VERY fun and it has a Limited Slip differential (LSD).
So there you have it. I've been an enthusiast for a very long time since my first euro M635csi at 26yo while stationed in Germany in the 80's. I don't run my cars hard mechanically but I do enjoy pushing them through the curves and this car for as big as it is does it very nicely. As a comparison i used to run my Z3M through the 45mph curves near my house at about 90-100mph. I can take this one thru them at 75-80mph without issue. It's really quite amazing.
Whichever of my classics sells first I will keep the other. Both are listed on ebay.
