2006 BMW M Roadster & Coupe Description

I've had this car since June 2010, at 25k miles. I've continually invested in this car since that time because I could not find a better overall convertible sports car with a manual transmission under $60k. The overall purpose of the build is evident when you walk around the vehicle, and take it for a drive. There are less than 98 Sepang Bronze z4M Roadsters left that have a clear title
For the sleeper look, the car is de-badged, the mufflers are stock and don't drone, the upgraded front bumper is OEM, and the interior only has oem style updates. The front intercooler is blacked out. At cruising speeds the car is probably as loud as stock, and is just as easy to drive. At full throttle, the sound of the supercharger is similar to an small jet gulping up air, and as you near the redline, the engine rips like a well oiled chainsaw. Shift up quickly enough, and a small ball of fire will come out of the mufflers along with a short deep pop.
It has 275mm Bridgestone RE-11 tires up front, at -2.5* camber, which should speak volumes to the right buyer. Power is very ambient temperature dependent, based on my trap speeds it is ranging from about 410-430rwhp, but does not heat soak with multiple runs based on the consistent trap speeds. The upgraded aluminium radiator, and oil cooler, keeps the temperatures right in the middle even in South Florida. Stock clutch is holding up fine.
Based on the quarter mile time of 12.17@116mph, this car competes with the new M3 and Stingray directly, at a fraction of the price. This was my best run in Floridian heat, before moving from the 500 to the 525hp upgrade.
If I was going to keep it, I would recommend: custom tune to squeeze out more power, and re-install the AEM methanol injection bottle and controller. That should put this car at 440-460rwhp, and a high 11 second quarter mile, at around 120-122mph.
Notable Options:Extended Leather. Navigation with upgraded DSP audio. Heated Seats. Auto Climate. Auto Windshield Wipers.
Imperfections: Steering wheel has some serious patina on it, but I like the cracks. The passenger A-pillar leather needs to be re-glued. Scratch on driver's door, and side skirts. Nav screen's protective film has surface cracks. Driver's seat heater button doesn't work, likely disconnected. Car does not have catalytic converters installed. Missing Volk stickers from the wheels since they were all straightened and re-painted.
I have PDF scans of all receipts from 2010 until this year, available to email to anyone interested.
