Up for sale is the best car I have ever owned.This car, when new in 1994, was $54K. – I have the original window sticker, along with the rest of the service records over the last 20+ years.This is a 3 owner car, 2 of which have been myself and my son. The original owner didn't like the ride and traded this car in with ~10k miles in early 1995; it has been in the family ever since.This 1994 BMW 540i represents the best of BMW.The 4.0L, 280+hp V8 under the hood is and always has been reliable as the sunrise.I had the compression tested a few years (less than 10k miles) ago; all but the #1 cylinder was at 100%, #1 cylinder was at 92% of full compression.The car has comfort power leather front seats, full BMW 10 speaker stereo system, dual-zone climate control, curse control, power windows, power sunroof, and an updated OEM in-dash CD43 head unit.The maintenance book on this car is very thick and inclusive, showing how the car has always been fully maintained by BMW specialists.The driving experience of this car is truly old-school BMW – the ultimate driving machine..even at this mileage.Unlike the modern BMWs, this car has all the mechanical feedback that made BMW famous, but also includes modern computer controlled systems such as fuel injection, ABS, and type II airbags.Since the car has never been north of Georgia, it has zero rust on this tight, semi-hand built body.The vehicle has original paint with no clear coat glazing, and has been fully detailed at least twice a year since purchased.

Body– Zero rust, never been in an accident, no rattles, no water leaks, all seals tight as a drum; full tool kit in trunk
Paint– This is a driver, small road rash all over body but paint is in good condition
Ride– The car drives well, with no clunks, groans, or abnormal behavior. Corners very well with Bilstein HD shocks, Eibach springs, and Racing Dynamics front and rear adjustable sway bars.
Mechanical– Car runs as expected, shifts smoothly, engine fires up easily. Sounds great with Supersprint catback exhaust.
Tires– Michelin MVX4+ on all four wheels – 90% tread life. Real BBS RX wheels + OEM honeycomb spare.
Interior– Adjustable steering wheel works, all switches work, power windows work, power sunroof works, power leather seats work – no rips, front driver seat bolster worn, top of rear seats faded and dried; 10 speaker BMW stereo works, heater / AC all work; rear deck and dash have no cracks, but rear deck has faded. Brand new OEM carpets just installed.
