1999 BMW Z3 M-Roadster

RB Collection proudly offers this gorgeous BMW Z3 M Roadster. This beautiful beast was purchased from the estate of a passionate enthusiast who cherished the car for the last eleven years, and it presents in exquisite condition. It was always garaged, never abused, and regularly serviced by local specialists.

The M-Roadster was a bit of a departure for BMW. With the exception of the original M1, all other M-cars were based on sedans or luxury coupes. BMW had never really offered a high-performance roadster in the modern age and with customers crying out for more power in the Z3, they knew they already had a receptive audience. Starting with the six-cylinder Z3 as a base, the M-Roadster was further pumped up with dramatically flared bodywork, and the S52 twin-cam inline-six lifted from the E36 M3 was packed under the bonnet. Of course, brakes, wheels and suspension were suitably uprated to handle the 250 horsepower and new front and rear fascias made for an aggressive look - especially out back with the signature quad exhaust pipes and fat rear tires. The interior was also enhanced with chrome-rimmed dials, aggressive sport seats and additional gauges in the console. The result was a pure, hairy-chested sports car with loads of torque and a magnificent screaming soundtrack. Aggressive, tail-happy handling characteristics were tamed by stability control, but brave drivers could switch it off for some real thrills, yet it was all perfectly tame and comfortable at legal speeds, making the M-Roadster the ideal all-rounder.

This fabulous example is finished in Estoril Blue Metallic, arguably the best color for the Z3M. The paint work is gorgeous and the panels are straight and free of major blemishes or repairs. Aside from a few minor stone chips, even the paint on the nose is in excellent condition. The Carfax Report shows no accidents or other damage and the super straight bodywork backs that up. Inside, two tone black and blue leather was unique to the M-Roadster. The seats and carpets are in excellent condition, showing very little wear and zero damage. All electrics function as they should, and the radio and dash displays show no signs of missing pixels. The air conditioning blows cold and the electric top functions perfectly. The power operated blue canvas top works perfectly, and is in good condition. The only flaw on the top is some perished plastic trim around the rear window.

The 3.2 liter S52 engine is extremely clean and pull strong through the rev range. It is tight, clean and free of leaks and smoke. It has a fresh service with full synthetic and is ready for use. We have performed a comprehensive 108-point inspection and found this car to be in excellent order throughout. The rear subframe is solid and shows no signs of abuse and the car still rides well and feels tight. A factory wind deflector, factory tool kit, and original books are included. This is an excellent example of a rapidly appreciating future classic. BMW M-Cars of all types are on the move, get one of the best while you can!
