1998 BMW Z3 Description

Greetings Ebayer’s,

I have just entered a contract to purchase a huge commercial building in Middletown NY and need to raise some serious cash ASAP. With that said I am selling all (well most) of my toys. That includes collector cars, exotics, Watercraft, Vintage Audio Equipment, an Icecream Stand, tools, plus hundreds of other items I have accumulated over my last 15 years as the owner of several self-storage facilities. Most items shall be sold with a starting bid of $1 with no reserve so high bid at end wins regardless of price.

In every case I do my very best to describe the item as specifically as possible, pointing out every defect regardless of how small it may be. Virtually all of my buyers are exceedingly pleased when they receive or pick up their items as they are typically better than described. My 20 + years on ebay and my feedback speak to that fact.

Now for the current Item:

One 1998 BMW Z3. I just had the car professionally detailed. It sat all winter in a climate controlled garage, on a battery tender and fired up on the first rotation of the engine. Car runs and drives like new.

I have taken hundreds of photos of it so email me if there is something you don’t see or would like a closer look at.

For the past four years I have purchased a used Z3 at the start of the summer and sell just toward the end, This is the first time I held one over the winter I bought it on 7/14/15 with just 86,430 miles on it. Today the car has 89,398 miles. I currently own 28 cars, 4 Motorcylcles, and three trucks and an SUV, (Plus an airplane that’s NOT for sale) so no single vehicles gets aloty of miles annually.

Exterior- I would rate the paint at a 9 on a scale of 1-10. It is in fantastic condition for it’s age and shows very little scratches. There are a few tiny dings here and there no bigger than a marble and with this green color are virtually impossible to see unless you are right on top of the car looking for them. If I did not mention this I doubt you would notice them. This car is loaded and includes the rare powertop option.

The headlights are a little foggy. This seems to be the cae with all BMW’s as they age. I have no idea if that stuff they advertizse on TV that renews them for $19.95 actually works but may be worth a try if that bothers you.

The top is in excellent condition. The plastic rear window is a little foggy as they all get. On a scale of 1-10 I’d put it at 6-7. Since I never drive it in the rain this makes no difference to me. A new window can be done for right around a hundred dollars and I’sd be happy to have my local interior guy install it for the winning bidder if desired. Personally I see no reason to waste the money.

The interior is a 9+. Virtually new condition, Check out the pics carefully and you will see what I mean. It has dual power seats, however the passenger side is frozen. I don’t know if it was because the previous owner never excercised it or what. TYhere is also a light on the dash for the Airbags. I had my tech throw it on the scanner and this is due to the passenger seat. It has something to do with an electrical connection to the passenger seat sensor. Maybey that is also why it does not operate also. Not sure and I don’t have the time to play with it.

Mechanically the car is 100%. Runs and drives like new. Car has been regularly serviced and very well taken care of. Don’t take my word for it, by all means come and drive it for yourself. I am also very good friends with several local repair stations that will be more than happy to let you throw it up on the lift and check the car out thoroughly. There is nothing to hide. No leaks or abnormal sounds. Car shifts like new. Clutch is in perfect shape. All lights, gauges, etc function 100%.

I really don’t know what else to say about the car. I just took it out for a ride for the first time this season and had no issues. I would trust it to hop in and drive cross country with no hesitation.

The car is currently located at my home in Hawthorne, NJ 07506. I have stores in Middletown NY 10940, Port Jervis NY 12771, Matamoras PA 18336 and Montague NJ 07827. I’d be more than happy to drive it to anyone of them for you to inspect and / or pick up at end of auction. I also love U-Ship.com if you need to have the car shipped cross country. They do a great job for a very fair price.

In closing, all I ask is that you have funds available prior to bidding, get any permissions from any significant others you may need, and have any inspections, test drives or anything else you need to do prior to bidding. Again, this is a no reserve auction so if you are the high bidder at the end, it’s your car regardless of price.

Buyer is responsible to pick up vehicle at locations specified above or arrange shipping at buyers expense. There is a $500 Deposit due within 24 hrs. of auction end. Balance paid within 7 days. I accept virtually all forms of payment as long as it can be instantly converted to cash. We have virtually every national bank here in Hawthorne so make sure if you are coming wioth a personal check that your bank is nearby and open when you come to pick up car as we will cash check prior to completing deal. This also appliues to certified check. I have had fraudulent certified / bank checks before so they get cashed first also.

Good Luck and happy bidding
