1997 BMW 3-Series Description

I took this car as payment for work performed that the costumer didn't have money for. It seems that he never put it in his name, but wrote his name in. You'll have to write over it. The vin that I put in here is based on what it should be, as I can't read the 4th, 5th or 6th digits. The car is an hour away from me, so I can't just check.
I'm not sure what the milage is either.
The trans was replaced recently with a used one.
It runs and drives, but the head is cracked. I've found used ones for between 200 and 400. I don't have anywhere to keep this car, or I would fix it.
The clear coat is coming off on the hood - the body seems straight - no apparent damage. Take a close look at the pics.
The wheels are 18". I'm not sure how much tread is on the tires.
