2007 BMW Z4 3.-Si Coupe Description

NOTE:Several of the pictures were taken a year ago, but the car remains exactly the same condition, and I stand by this assertion the car has been driven less than 5K miles in the last 2 years).I will send specific pictures upon request.

This is a 2007 BMW Z-4 3.0Si hardtop/fastback coupe.

There are a total of only 1280 coupes from 2007 in all of North America (you know, “North America” includes Mexico, Canada and the U.S.).

This car is in very good to excellent original condition.

- Bright red exterior; black leather interior (NOTE:pictures show seat covers over the leather seats!). Seat covers and steering wheel cover and mats have always been used

- Features the optional 6 speed automatic with manual shift option (shift paddles on the steering wheel);It will shift consistently faster than any manual shifter.

- Never smoked in.

- Always garaged and well-maintained (Mobil-1 synthetic oil); never driven in snow; has never seen salty roads.

- Only about 52,500 miles (this will increase very slowly, as we will continue to drive it every couple weeks to keep the mechanical components conditioned).

- NEVER hot-rodded.

- Second real owner:The car was first used at a dealership for advertising; the first “real” owner was a pilot; the car then resided at another dealership, used to promote the BMW name; the second “real” owner is a retired physician.

BMW stopped making these fixed-top “true” coupes, so this model is both rare as well as potentially collectible.This is a great example to keep as a classic, due to its superior condition and low mileage.

The 2007 models are desirable because:

1)Higher horsepower;

2)Bigger disk brakes;

3)The engine is a special aluminum-magnesium alloy that makes it highly desirable and lighter.

CAR FEATURES:

-All original – no gimmicks or amateurism added to the car.

-All-power to include windows, seats, locks, rear hatch, etc.;

-Heated seats,

-NAV, MP3/CD

-Tires have less than 10K miles on them;

-Cold AC, of course.

-The auto transmission can also be manually shifted by the stick shift or by the steering wheel paddle switches.

-All original documents and owner's manuals, as well as BMW Workshop manual are included.

-The car has always been garaged, and only synthetic oil has been used (changed every 3000 miles).

-Seat covers and steering wheel cover have always been used; Rain floor mats over carpeting always used, including in trunk.

-TRANSMISSION:works flawlessly;

-BRAKES:original brakes (slight lip developing on the rotors, but well within the limits) (This car has never been braked hard);

-ENGINE: smooth running; no misfires; good power; no problems; No fault codes;

-INTERIOR:excellent – rubber floor and hatchback mats have always protected the carpeting; seat covers, and steering wheel cover always used; there are no rips or worn spots in the interior; dash is perfect; the headliner is like new.(Never been smoked in.)

-EXTERIOR:no problems – no dents or major scrapes; less-than-normal road wear for a car with 50K miles (so, yes, there are some pits from road uage).

-All original documents and owner's manuals, as well as BMW Workshop manual are included.

FLAWS:

-The NAV screen does not raise up, although the radio and CD all function well.Checking on the internet, this is a common problem, and costs approximately $300 to fix if you have someone do the work.This is factored into my reserve price.

-We made two insurance claims for repairs on the car over the years to keep the car perfect.Both involved fixing minor dents that occurred from a stand still.I insisted on entire panel corrections, and one cannot notice the repairs due to the expertise involved.

-To be on the overly critical side, the brake rotors have a small lip developing, however, there are probably at least 10,000 miles left on them.

WHY THE COUPE over the convertible?

- No rain leaks typical of rag tops, ever;

- No cloth tops or rear windows to replace every few years;

- No slashed ragtop roofs and associated thefts;

- No UV damage or heat-related damage from poor insulating factors.

- The coupe is more aerodynamic plus lighter, so better mileage and probably speed;

- More room to put stuff (it has a rear lift gate with privacy screen);

…and, of course, the coupe model is rare.

We're selling to downsize (retired), plus just getting too old to be driving these low sports cars.

Try to find another coupe in your area; try to find another RED coupe; and try to find one in better shape with this low mileage. Shop around and look at the others first, so you will know what a deal you are getting.
