For sale is a 19742002tii in Fjord Blue, the rebuilt engine (1993) has 77,600 miles on it. All factory identification numbers match.The first owner was James Kennedy in San Diego. This is the only year of the square tail lights model which came with fuel injection. Today, very few of this model in this condition remain. Solid, rust-free examples have become scarce.Fortunately thisremarkable model ended up in Southern California where the dryer climate seems to have eliminated the oxidation process.

I have all the service and repair records from the original owner. I also have all the receipts for service, parts and upgrades (over $35,000.00) I have put into the car myself. All engine and body VIN numbers match. The transmission is an upgraded 5 speed. The drive shaft and rear differential have also been upgraded. The paint is good and the original color. The car was repainted within the last year in its original color, fjord blue.

The chrome and trim are in good - but not perfect - condition. The grills are the correct style and are original to the car.

This is a solid car with solid floors, and new rear sub-frame which has adjustment for canter. No rust beyond light surface rust on the underside ofthe hood. The spare tire well and the rear wheel wells are solid and rust free - a common problem - even in drier climates.

The interior is original, including the tan German loop carpets, steering wheel and tan vinyl upholstery. There are a few small cracks in the dash. All gauges function and light up properly. The original door cards are good. The console-mounted radio is a period-correct Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM model with dash-matched control knobs. It is attached to a period-correct original antenna mounted to the A-pillar. The radio lights up and plays AM and FM.

Mechanically, the car has been serviced by BMW in the San Diego area, BMW Santa Fe and Rex Goes Racing in Santa Fe. The engine compartment is clean. There are no leaks or problems and the hoses around the engine and for the cooling have been replaced. The driving experience is right out of the mid-1970s with great acceleration.All electrical switches and lights function properly. The 2.0 liter engine has excellent acceleration and power.
