1994 BMW 8-Series Description

I have driven, enjoyed, enthused, labored over and generally had a great time with this car for 11 years now. I've invested enough time into a "car"!

This car is the only example of a Barbados Green BMW 850 CI in the USA and also has a one-of-a-kind BMW Individual interior; matching black /green leather interior with birdseye maple trim.

The wood trim has the cracks that a majority (but not all) of the cars of our vintage do.

The only wear in the leather is to the drivers seat; normal for one of this vintage.

This 1994 BMW 850CI isalmost entirely stock with a few cosmetic and performance modifications.

The car has never had any evidence of any rust. It has only seen 4 rainy days in the last 11 years and kept in a climate controlled garage. The car has been meticulously serviced and maintained with all service records available for the last 11 years; prior to that, another BMW enthusiast and BMW 850 CSI owner, was the previous owner who also maintained the car.

  • K-Bars Adjustable Sway Bars
  • Bilstein Sport Shocks/Struts
  • Staggered 18” M-Parallel wheels w/Michelin Pilot Sports
  • Alpine flagship head unit – great sound!
  • Euro front/rear fog lights
  • Euro headlights and smoke FTP driving lights
  • Regular oil/filter changed every 3,000 miles w/Redline full synthetic oil
  • Replaced both DK motors w/brand new units
  • Replaced power steering pump + high pressure hoses
  • Replaced ignition coils w/high performance units
  • Replaced caps, rotors, belts, air and fuel filters, and O2 sensors
  • Replaced spark plugs and wire harness
  • Replaced both fuel pumps
  • Dual Optima Red Top gel-cell batteries
  • Completely re-built sunroof. The entire mechanism and gasket has been replaced (took 10 hours for 2 people!)
  • Latest build EKM module with re-soldered chip sockets
  • Complete transmission flush at 110K miles.
  • Intake manifold gaskets at 82,500 miles.

Complete documentation since owned. Includes documentation of federalization of the car when imported into the United States from previous owner.

Every switch and button works - all operational like new.

The original paint is in fantastic shape - has been wet sanded, cut and buffed to remove factory orange peel. The front has had a respray due to an accident in 2009 - perfect match and blend into the rest of the car. You cannot tell where the new paint meets the old; a very professional job.

Many more smaller detail items than I can list. Most mechanical work and regular service has been done by one of the best independent Germanmechanics in the Pacific Northwest (Greg Linafelter of European Autohaus...there is no better between Seattle and Chicago!) and full documentation of all work is available to serious buyers. All other work has been done mostly at various WrenchFests in the Pacific NW

(i.e. K-bars, twisted seat cable repairs, the %&#?@ sunroof mechanism, etc.)

So, if you're interested in a unique, one-of-a-kind 850CI, but are not in the market for a CSI, this is the car for you. I have truly enjoyed this car and would like to see it in the hands of another enthusiast.
