2003 BMW M3 Description

NOTE: For previous watchers of listing. I removed the listing as an offline buyer attempted to purchase the car but the deal fell through. As it is listed off line also, please feel free to contact me with any questions on the Buy it Now price. Thanks for looking at my auction.

I am selling my 2003 BMW M3 convertible with many extras. I have owned the car since 2003 and have all of the service records. I have never tracked it and it has been meticulously maintained mechanically (it has been maintained at Solely Bimmer in Mission Viejo CA since 2010...a great BMW shop.) I am the second owner. I bought it with 1250 miles. The first owner traded it in for a Z8 (Lucky guy!)

If you know the E46 M3 with SMG you know that there are ones where the SMG, water pump, Vanos control unit and Cats have been replaced and the ones that have not. The 4 repairs cost around $8,000 and once done should all be good for another 100k miles. I have done all 4 of these repairs in the past 15K miles. There are other minor repairs that are needed for these cars in the 80k-100K range...almost all have been done. You are good to go. A car with less miles which has never had these repairs, will need these, none of these cars get through 110K without these done. Further, I have never used any gas but 91 octane.
I have the very hard to find hardtop and matching stand and cover. With this on, the car looks completely unique. (The price does not include the hardtop but we can come to a price separately.) I also have the wind deflector and case for when you are using the soft top. I have also installed an adapter in the trunk which gives the car XM radio and Ipod connectivity controlled through the OEM radio. All of these add over $2K of extras.
Its only issues are cosmetic. I have had the car wrapped twice, once matte black and once matte silver. Both looked amazing. It is currently not wrapped. I was rear ended (low speed..under 5mph with minor damage to the fender which has been repaired) and the rear fender was not repainted as it was re wrapped. Also the trim on the convertible lid (which is plastic) had some paint peel off when the wrap was removed. Finally there is some paint oxidation around the rear antenna. These can either be repainted or you can re wrap as I had planned to do. The 4 wheels have varying levels of road rash but have no bends or dents. The last thing that is extremely common to these cars is the bolster on the drivers side seat needs to be resewn in one spot and has had some of the color rub off.
The other accident reported on the report was someone backed into the driver side fender which left a small dent and scratch that was pulled and repainted.
I really do not want to sell this car as I have kept it all these years because I am certain it will be a collector car, the last of the great, classic M3's. However, I do not have room to keep it as a 3rd car so it has to go.
I have ALL of the service records back to 2003. I have the original window sticker.
Here are the options of the sticker:
Jet Black
Black Leather
Cold Weather package
Black soft top
Park Distance control
Rain sensors
Xenon Headlights
Harman-Kardon Sound System
Aluminum interior trim
19" alloy wheels
Sequential Manual Gearbox
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Again, the price does not include the hardtop but we can figure out a price if you purchase the car.
