2001 BMW 3-Series Description
I am selling my 2001 BMW 325 Ci. 128,xxx original miles. Clean CARFAX. I would call this car a 7.5 out of 10 for the looks, and a 9 out of 10 for mechanicals. Paint looks original except for the bumpers do look like they have been painted at one point in their life. There are 3 small rust spots that could be repaired reasonably or left alone. I show close ups on the pictures, the rest of the body is pretty clean with a couple little dents, dings, small scratches, and a couple spots on the top cover where the paint has come off, which is also typical on these models,. All of the body wear is very typical of a 15 year old 128k mile car - The cars shows very well when cleaned up. . The Car runs great, engine is strong, no major leaks, just the usual seeping from the valve cover - again, easily fixed. The interior is really nice NO SUN ROT, the only worn spots are on the usual spots where you get into the car and rub the side of the seat. Again, I show this in the pics and video. EVERYTHING WORKS! Cold AC, CC, Heated Leather Seats in Front, Stereo, Factory AM/FM/CD Player, all displays, etc... The car drives down the road straight and smooth typical of all BMWconvertiblesof this era. Transmission shifts tight with no issues, and the brakes work as designed..
NOW FOR THE TOP. The top material is clean and in great shape. The glass in the rear and the seal are great. It is an automatic top which works 50% of the time. I have just lived with it as I typically leave it in the garage with the top down. When it doesn't work it gets stuck at the 80% down point. It just stops When it is almost totally folded and under the cover. Let is sit for 5 minutes and it just falls in and closes with a little push. Putting the top up is in reverse, you need to pull the cover up and pull the top up to the 50% closed point, then the power button works the rest of the way. The forums are full of possible reasons and solutions for these issues, I just don't have the patience - OR pay your mechanic. The underside of the car is also typical of a 15 year oldMidwestBMW - no major issues. This is a really niceexample of the e46 convertible and ready to drive anywhere. It could probably use a set of tires if you are picky, but these are just fine for cruising. The trunk is clean, and does have the original spare, and most tools. It is missing the Jack, and the pliers.
