The 2002 BMW Z8 Roadster represents BMW’s superb styling, thrilling V8 power with vanos system, a 6-speed manual transmission, rarity, and hand built craftsmanship. These characteristics are defined by James Bond’s vehicle of choice in “The World is Not Enough”. This Z8 easily bestedthe Ferrari 360 Modena in acceleration, handling and braking, making it an exotic supercar with easy drivability and elegance.
This2002 BMW Z8 Roadsterin Titanium Silver Metallic over a Black Nappa Leather Interior and is powered by a 5.0L V8 engine producing over 394 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque through a 6-Speed Manual Transmission. The well-regarded Eisenmann mufflers flow exhaust gases more easily, increasing power, and adding a proper throaty sound. This Z8 is, otherwise, all stock and includes an iPod interface in the CD lockable storage box (original CD player included).
I purchased this 2002 Z8 Roadster with 17,000 miles from a San Diego BMW in 2005, am the second owner, and have kept the car in as beautiful condition as my former aircraft and sailing vessels. I rarely drive the car, now, and have little space to store a vehicle. I am not a collector, but do enjoy and appreciate finely crafted vehicles. This is a wonderful driver car, in great condition, for those that appreciate driving their appreciating collectible.
This 2002 Z8 Roadster is in great condition, receiving all BMW maintenance, with recent inspection by well-known BMW factory –trained Z8 mechanic Matt Carver, bi-monthly details and routine 3-5,000 mile oil changes and checkups. This Z8 Roadster has brand new OEM wipers and replacement/repair of known Z8 time-based weak points, including Dash replacement (“green-glue” rapidly degrades with time on all Z8s), CD player <(included> upgrade to iPod, common radio-head factory electrical flaw repair, common LCD rearview mirror leakage replacement upgrade, hood and trunk gas struts, etc .
Finished in the classic color combination of Titanium Silver on Black, this Z8 looks every bit as beautiful and desirable as the day it left the factory, evidence of a pampered life lived in garages, driven on local SF peninsula 50 mile trips for most of its life, and cared for by frequent professional detailing and service. This car has 82,000 miles and is just hitting its stride, as evidenced by no accident or other damages, no repaint, and no “performance kit” installed for high-stress track or similar driving, hence no frame modifications and damage. This car has never been repainted (except lower edge of plastic spoiler touch-ups) or in an accident, and all functions perform flawlessly. Sold with its factory hardtop and stand, three keys plus valet key, integrated cellphone, Z8 car cover, trunk electric tire-pump, tools, first aid kit, oil container, convertible wind-screen, tonneau cover, windscreen and storage pouch, operator manuals and case, this Z8 needs nothing, and is ready to be enjoyed and driven right now. The BMW 100 year anniversary in Monterey starts in 13 days and is a 90 minute drive from its present garage location!
