1995 BMW M3 Description

I bought this car at a Cars and Coffee from the 2nd owner 6 months ago. It's a great car and is very quick. I had originally purchased the car with the intention of making it an SCCA GT2 certified racecar, but ran out of time and energy to pursue that and will stick to HPDE days in my other cars.

  • 158k miles recently spent $30k on track mods!
  • Completely redone engine to S52, keeping OBDI (yay!) electronics

  • Fully upgraded chassis and suspension

  • New paint

  • New tires

  • Virtually a 2 owner car

  • Rare, sunroof delete car

The receipts were over $9k on the 3.2L engine alone, and actually ended up being near $30k overall. The car basically has the entire Turner Motorsports catalog thrown at it. All of the mechanical work was done by TruSpeed, a professional motorsport shop that competes in ALMS/World Challenge events. The mechanic responsible for the component selection and installation on my car was a BMW Master certified dealer technician for 15 years before joining the motorsport shop.

The engine (now about 3000 miles on it):

  • S52 short block, 3.2L

  • brand new rods and pistons

  • fully rebuilt head, 100% new cams, springs, lifters

  • retained S50 manifold/OBD1 control

  • Turner Motorsports Stage 3 kit (link) = cams, intake, AFM, injectors, ECU chip

  • Supersprint stainless race headers, stock cats, Supersprint stainless catback

  • Lightweight Al flywheel, Turner Racing clutch kit

  • 3 row S54 aluminum radiator, aluminum end tanks

  • aluminum thermostat housing/ upgraded water pump/ new overflow bottle

  • new oil pump, welded nut

  • Electric fan conversion

Chassis

  • 100% brand new rubber stuff - belts/hoses/gaskets, etc

  • Bilstein PSS9 coil over kit

  • Turner Adjustable rear camber arms

  • Performance Friction 3-piece rotors, upgraded street/track pads

  • Upgraded ARBs

  • Upgraded LCABs, RTABs, RSMs, trans mounts (poly, e46 m3, etc)

Add-ons (again, only 3000 miles old):

  • Fikse Aluminum Forged wheels, 17" ($3k new)

  • Nitto NT05’s with 1k miles + 1 track day

  • Bolt in 4-pt roll bar

  • Sparco Evo seats and belts

  • Seibon carbon fiber hood

  • Alcantara steering wheel

  • Panasonic head unit (matches dash lighting)

  • Satin red paint job

Car was originally a "LUX" model but now has the "Sport" front grille and all wood interior trim pieces have been replaced with black. It is a rare sunroof delete model as you've noticed. Nice bonus for tall guys or extra helmet clearance. I did have the headliner professionally replaced and windows tinted a few years ago.
