2001 BMW 7-Series 2001 BMW 740i ~ Engine Damage
2001 BMW 7-Series 740i Description
I'm selling my 2001 BMW 740i. It has approximately 82,XXX miles. This past August 13, we were hit with a flash flood in theHouston area. Unfortunately, I had to cross an intersection with 6 inches of water and hit a metal sign that broke my oil sump that eventually seizedthe motor. Car never stalled in the water.
Absolutely "NO" water breachedinside the car or floorboards. The ECU, engine harnesses, relays + fuses in the ebox never got wet. "ALL" electrical systems function normal, dash, instruments, lighting etc., are all good.
As for the condition of the chassis, "Excellent". Car is in outstanding condition. Has originalTitaniumsilver paint. Body panels and interior itemsare like new. Previous owners have maintained the car impeccably. I looked for a few years for a BMW 7 series of this caliber and found it only 6 months ago. I have owned many BMW's (3,5 & 7) series & all were my favorite.
Currently, I face another challenge which prevents me from committing the time and resources to this project. This one is not your typical neglectedE38. It's been maintained well. Records will prove that fact. IMO, the car is a 9.5 out of 10. It's myargumentthat it's worth every possible scenarioto R+R that M62..!!!
I'm indeed saddened by my circumstances that force me to sellthis thoroughbred. If you have the means, get this outstanding740i...Soon..!!
""Need's a new motor"" Chassis is not damaged.
