2005 BMW X3 2.5i with panoramic glass sunroof
2005 BMW X3 Description
ENGINE: Runs well. Like many old BMWs, it burns oil pretty quickly. Mechanic has advised that there's a minor oil leak and that the coolant is due for service. The Service Engine Soon light came on a few weeks ago but hasn't been diagnosed. The "light burned out" dashboard light comes on occasionally even though the lights all work fine.
EXTERIOR: The paint is in remarkably good shape. No rust or flaking. This car has not seen snow to my knowledge. Some light scratches on one of the doors and various other minor dings. The double-spoke alloy wheels are in good shape.
INTERIOR: Beige SensaTec interior that's showing wear here and there. Various carpet and upholstery stains. No rear floor mats. No cracks in the dashboard. Dashboard and wood trim look good with no warping/cracking.
ELECTRONICS: Everything works fine as far as I can tell. The battery in the key fob is drained, so the car is opened manually.
TOYS: Aftermarket stereo with USB and pop-out display screen, panorama glass roof and roof rails, automatic adaptive Xenon headlights, automatic climate control system, factory privacy glass, power front seats, AWD, DSC, hill descent control.
IN SUMMARY: This is a fine car, very satisfying to drive, with great ergonomics for running errands around town and going off-road for camping trips. The biggest issues are the random dashboard lights and the oil burning, conditions which apply to lots of middle-aged BMWs. I'm selling it because I have one car too many.
