1971 Buick Skylark GS455 Description

1971 Buick GS455 Pro-Touring, Black on Black, Clean Cali Blue Plate Car
For sale is a 1971 Buick GS455, Black on Black, with a Big Block 455cid V8 and TH400 Automatic Transmission.
The car has a lot of new parts, fresh paint, and new wheels, lots of suspension and power modifications. This car rumbles, and breaks the tires loose with ease.
Car is originally from Orange County, California, and has original California blue plates from 1971, dealer frame came with the car, and appears to be original (this is an Orange County dealership which closed down a few years back, but was operating in the 1970's). Clean California title in hand, the registration is current, but the tags are not since it's not insured at the moment; the car is stored at my warehouse here in Las Vegas.
Engine is a 455cid V8, with Stage 1 heads (larger valves), edelbrock manifold, and a Demon 750cfm four barrel carburator. New gas tank has a drop in sump pickup from RobbMc Performance (1/2" diameter), full braided AN lines lead up to an upgraded TA Performance fuel pump. Lightweight pullies and electronic Spal fans for that extra bit of horsepower.MSD pro billet distributor, MSD Digital 6AL ignition, MSD coil, MSD plug wires.Hooker tubular headers, and a custom magnaflow dual exhaust give the car a nice rumble, which turns into a roar with a push of the gas pedal.
The entire cooling system has been replaced with a 3" thick upgraded unit from BeCool. All new hoses and thermostat, new coolant and flushed last year. Also has a Derale transmission cooler with AN braided lines installed behind the front grille to keep the TH400 cool. The car has been converted to electronic dual Spal fans with a custom shroud. The Spal fans run on their own relays, with a temperature probe.
The rear end is a freshly rebuilt 3.73 posi-traction differential, the TH400 transmission was rebuilt and has a B&M shift kit installed. Shifts crisp, and takes off sharply.
Rims and tires were just installed, they're staggered diameter (18" on the front, with 245 width tires, and 20" rear, with 285 width tires), rims and tires have about 200 miles on them. The car is lowered on hotchkis springs, with rear cargo springs to give it a nice rake. 1" thick front and rear hotchkis sway bars keep the car planted in turns.
New parts include a new alternator, power brake booster, new fuel tank, and power steering pump. Pretty much everything else has been upgraded, basically a new car.The entire fueling system, and cooling system, have been replaced with upgraded top of the line parts; this includes components, lines, hoses, and fittings.
Interior was redone about 6-7 years ago, leather steering wheel from Grant, and a GS edition autometer tachometer. Schroth clip-in harnesses keep you in place as you roar around the city.
Car runs great, very fast, and handles well, has sticky BF Goodrich G-Force 2 tires.
This is a purpose built car that has been built right, it has a fiberglass hood, while all other panels are original. Locks are re-keyed to use one key for the entire vehicle.
Just finished this car, selling to build up a new project vehicle that was just delivered. Any questions, 562-537-4198 (cell) or 702-366-9565.
