1955 Buick Riviera 56R Description

This is a near 100% cosmetically original 1955BuickSuper Riviera 2 Door Hardtop. Completely matching numbers including every component make this an ultra rare vehicle.
This was a top of the line Buick back in 1955. It was sold new at Standard Motors in Southern California where it had remained in storage until 1994. It wears the original factory two tone coat of Dover White over Cadet Blue. This is an ULTRA-RARE time capsule with only a small handful like it left in the world.

Car Condition
The only difference between this car up for auction and the one that sold for $148,500.00 at Barrett-Jackson in 2008 is that my car has Even Less Mileage! (31,657 vs. their 37,115), AND ALSO INCLUDES many rare goodies like the original tire panels, hubcaps, floor runner, oil bath air cleaner, etc.
The interior is 100% completely original as well, and the carpet is nice from the protection of the original rubber mats. Very straight body with all original panels, no repairs including no filler at all. The floors, frame and trunk are rust free. This is a true time capsule and not like many other cars on ebay that are classic but not rare & original survivors like this one is.
This 1955 Buick Super Riviera was stored for a few decades and brought back to life in late 2013. It starts right up and the original 322 Nailhead V8 runs great. Very smooth and no smoking. Still has the original factory oil bath air cleaner! and it is completely original under the hood.
Good condition bias polyester tires with spare, the wheel cover, and jack hardware. Unbelievably, original fender skirts are also included as shown. Awesome patina just look at it..Sporting it's four signature round VentiPorts per fender and classic 50's elegance,it is just an amazing vehicle to make yours.
This car has been stored since 1994 and the original discontinued California black license plate is also included. The brakes feel good but they have not been rebuilt or inspected so I have not yet taken it out on the street. I had planned on going through them first to be safe, but I haven't had the time. I have only driven it on my property after it came off the auto carrier, and the brakes seem to be impressively strong considering their age.
I am reluctantly selling it only because I have a great startup business opportunity and do not have the time to give it the proper full restoration it deserves.
