The Riviera has been Buick's personal luxury car since 1963 and has consistently been a style leader for Buick. The sixth generation Riviera(79-85) is still one of the best examples of American personal luxury ever built. The Riviera shared it's chassis with the Oldsmobile Toronado and Cadillac's Eldorado, while managing to look statelierthen either of them. In fact, the first year of production for this body(1979) won Riviera the Motor Trend car of the Year Award. 1985 would be the last year of this beautiful body style which earmarks it as the most desirable from a collector's standpoint.

Thisparticular example was purchased new atLiberty BuickinPeoria, AZ.and has always been an Arizonacar. It benefits from an outstanding color scheme of cotillion white with darkRoyal Blueinterior, and is loaded with options like twilight sentenal lighting, concert sound system, passenger 6-way power seatand electronic touch climate control. This Riviera is a sight to behold and only has 36k miles.

I have owned 7 or 8 of these in this body style(84-85) over the years, and I believe this one to be the most perfect and solid of any I have ever collected. The flow of the body lines are amazing,and is one of the best looking coupes ever made. Certain colors look best on certain body styles and this body Riviera is thebreathtaking in white with a dark interior. I am not aware of anything that doesn't work as expected including the factory electric antenna. The AC was just serviced and converted to 134R and is ice cold. This beautiful Buick runs very smooth and quiet, and tracks straight down the road. I believe it to be factory paint all the way around. the filler panels(flexible material around the front and rear bumpers)were changed out by the original owner and look great with a perfect color match. The tires are new as well with less than 200 miles on them.
