1972 Buick Skylark Convertible
1972 Buick Skylark Convertible Description
1972 Buick Skylark Convertible. 350 Buick motor four barrel carburetor new tuneup new battery. The paint is presentable but not a show car. Car has air-conditioning. Car drives straight down the road. The steering is tight. The brakes are strong. Interior is in really nice condition no cracks in dash, there is a rip to the side of the driver seat, but looks like it would be repairable, it's on the side seam. There's rust on the perimeter of the trunk edge as seen in the pictures. The front fenders have no rust and the inner wheel wells do not either. The doors all seem to be solid metal with nearly in no rust condition, they do not sag when you open the door. Their are holes rusted through in the trunk, and I suggest to do the gas tank at the same time as you can see in the pictures. From storage,, the exhaust system will need work, holes in pipes. The tires are all in good shape. The power top goes up-and-down. The top is torn, one part fixed with silicone, and the back window is not connected at the seam. The radio works. All the windows go up and down. Someone patched the bottom of the drivers floor. Theiris surface rust on the bottom of the floorboards and frame. Structurally the car is strong. About the weakest part I can find is the bottom of the frame rail at the rear bumper mounting. it's U-shaped frame and the bottom edge seems weak. The bumpers are solid there's no flex in them. The hood and the trunk open and close real well and the doors operate well and the locks are good. The car needs a new steering gearbox it's leaking fluid through the seal on the bottom of the steering gear box. Has a Clean and Clear Wisconsin title. Email with any questions my name is Mike.
