If you're looking at this car, you probably know the story behind the short-lived production of these luxury cars. If not, keep reading.
The Buick Roadmaster was the last of GM's rear drive, truly full size luxury cars. The Roadmaster name was retired in the late 1950's and resurrected for a short half-decade period from 1991-1996. Wagons were introduced in 1991 while the Roadmaster sedan was introduced one model year later in 1992. The sedan had styling and handling all it's own, significantly better than it's station wagon cousin.
This model year, 1995, incorporates the BEST of all design tweaks. The major upgrade from the 1991-93 models was a new much more powerful engine and electronic transmission. Upon seeing the car in person, you immediately notice it's unique and unmistakable styling, then once entering the cabin and in the driver's seat, the comfort and luxury. Start it up, and you'll barely notice it's running. The interior is so quiet, you can hear a pin drop while cruising down the highway. Buick spared no expense in building these incredible cars. While production numbers of Lincoln Town Cars, Mercury Grand Marquis, and Ford Crown Victoria cars easily top the hundreds of thousands per year, there were fewer than 31,000 Roadmasters made for the 1995 model year. Few have survived, and the ones that are left on the streets are normally very beat, worn out examples. Not to mention all the great cars the Cash for Clunkers program destroyed.
