1956 Cadillac Other Description

As it says, we are selling our Dad’s 1956 Cadillac. We have had it for 9 years. We go everywhere with it, NYC, LakeGeorge, Mass, etc... It is a nearly stock example that is solid and reliable and has never let us down. There are no modifications except the exhaust which has cherry bomb mufflers and sounds perfect. Exhaust does exit through the bumper exhaust ports as it should.It has real Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with new diamond back wide white radials. The original carb has been rebuilt, tune up parts are all recent, new drag link, sway bar links, exhaust manifolds and gaskets, and recent brake work. The car is very solid but does have a few rust spots where the front wheels kick up stuff. It looks to have had some paint many years ago and I must assume there was some filler. Floors are very solid and original except for a small patch that was done on the drivers floor.Car is very complete.It has a good interior with only a little wear and some discoloring on the door panels and headliner. The original carpet is still in it under the plaid floor covering. Roof was painted a red metallic. The pin stripping was done by an old stripe guy. My Dad had a pin up model painted on trunk. Car is a blast and turns heads. Could easily be painted and be back to a stock series 62. We have a large Cadillac collection and are selling a few off. it has 109k miles on it, the speedo spring just broke last month on me and the wipers are not hooked up to the vacuum system.It is registered, insured, and currently being driven.
