Everyone admires this remarkable car on a daily basis. Literally not a day goes by without someone striking up a conversation on this beautiful Cadillac. He cMy dad cleans the glass and dusts the car daily before he takes her out (yes daily) Outstanding color combo consisting of stunning exterior body with matching rims on a matching soft and supple rich full leather interior... Beautiful matching carriage top.
My dad has been a caddy man all his life and he will be 90 next month and regretfully asked me to sell his baby that he uses Daily. I am going to find him a smaller car for him to handle. (Just sold his Maserati several months ago- he has a passion for cars)
The ac works perfect as my dad went thru the whole system this past year replacing the compressor, the computer units. New headliner installed (original started to slightly sag) even though most would have left it in for a few more years.... Ice cold air.
The car drives superb.... It can be enjoyed as a daily driver, a weekend car or a show car. No odd sounds. Smells perfect. Only note of mention is edge of armrests as seen in pic that you can have easily repaired if desired.
Laser straight and of course rust free sheet metal. No accidents. Excellent metal work, great original wire wheel covers. Just a few negligible light scratches.
The big news for Cadillac in 1988 was a NEW engine, the 4.5 liter V8 which finally replaced the 4.1. This 1987 years prior is what you want to avoid due to reliability issues. This 1988 year is and has been extremely praised for its reliability! The 273 cid V8 has digital fuel injection and was mated to a four speed automatic with overdrive. Drives strong and smooth!
