1977 Cadillac DeVille Description

The 1977 Cadillac Coupe DeVille was the premiere year for a new idea. It's hard to tell, but all the Cadillac luxury has been placed in a more compact package. This is not a small car with a small car appearance, but simply GM created a luxury coupe that didn't skip on amenities, and could now fit better in the parking lot and garage. They might have written songs about pink Cadillacs, but this original factory Cotillion White is the real star. It looks amazing even after almost four decades on this earth. The exact same can be said for the white vinyl roof. It's matching color gives off a perfect elegance that is appreciated more and more as people get close to the car. Overall, this car has matured into a stylish reputation in the market where this coupe looks as pure as virgin snow, right down to the perfect plastic fender endcaps (not many survived on these Caddys). It has all the right touches of chrome, from the wide grille up front, to the wire wheels, to the taillights that stick out just enough as a tribute to the legendary Cadillac tailfin. Coordinating colors is part of what makes these Cadillacs great, so you'll notice a nice red pinstripe from front to rear that is a preview of what's inside. There's just something really great about a red leather interior. It's a bold statement to the world that only gets noticed by the people you want to step through the door. But what's really great about this one is the amazing original condition of the seats. The driver's area looks barely used, and it almost seems like he/she never carried anyone in the other five seats. Even the original floor mats don't show any real wear - a true sign of a cherished Cadillac. Another sign that this is an exceptionally well maintained coupe is that the long list of Cadillac's luxury items remain intact. This includes the air conditioning, power seats, power windows, cruise control, and power locks. This is so period correct that you might need to use the original owner's manual to understand how to operate the 8-track player that's still in the AM/FM stereo! As mentioned before, the 1977 Coupe DeVille was a bit smaller than the previous year, but you'd never know it from the inside, because the engineers utilized smarter designs to make this car roomier, and also added more space in the carnivorous trunk. A Cadillac is a cool cruiser, and there's a lot going on beneath the metal. Under the hood is the monstrous 425 cubic-inch V8 motor that looks as honest as the day it left the Detroit factory. Because this coupe has been about authenticity so much already, it should be no surprise that this is a numbers-matching car. In fact, this motor is still under 54,000 miles, which averages to about 1,400 miles per year over its life. Emissions regulations of that era had taken out some of the horsepower, but this Caddy has no trouble moving because it makes enough torque to rival the modern full-size Cadillacs. The cruising attitude is heightened by a smooth-shifting three-speed automatic transmission, supple suspension, power steering, and power brakes with discs up front. When a Cadillac survives as well as this one, the reputation for elegance only grows. It's time to pick up this proud long-haul cruiser while the price is still so affordable. Cars like this dont last in our showroom long, call today!!
