1959 Cadillac DeVille Description

1959 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, 390 CID with Hyrdro Drive Automatic. “The not so Ratty Caddy” Nice car with a cool story. This car was purchased new in California (I have the original bill of sale) and spent it’s life there and some time in Texas. The car is very solid ! Purchased by a bar/restaurant it was taken to Cleveland Ohio around 2005 and used as a display at the entrance to a “Cadillac Ranch”. The Bar closed in 2007 and the car was left behind. In 2014 I was able to acquire the car and began the long process of getting her back on the road. New power brake unit with modern master cylinder, and front disc conversion. Rear brakes are all new factory drum. New ball joints, Idler arm, shocks, and rear suspension bushings. New battery, alternator, Ignition upgraded to a Pertronix unit, fuel pump, carb, gas tank, all fluids and filters. The custom exhaust is mandrel bent, TIG welded, 2 ½” that is tight to the bottom of the car and clears the rear suspension for when it’s on ground. To my surprise the engine and transmission look to be rebuilt. Both are VERY clean and work nice. Air ride suspension front and rear, along with 18” wheels give the car that cool look! Front and rear custom sway bars have been installed so the car handles amazing (yes as big as it is !). The old glass type electrical fuse holder has been replaced with modern blade fuses. Tunes are taken care of by a Bluetooth receiver that plays over new speakers in the factory locations. If it’s on your smart phone, it plays in the car (GPS, PANDORA). Trunk has original mat with spare tire kit. Door panels and seats look to be new in the 1980’s from tags we found. Dash pad has a plastic cover installed over original pad. Factory colorwas Rosewood, some one painted it white, and the bar painted it the Robin Egg Blue you see now. Any slight surface rust around the trim was treated with rust stopper, and then the car was painted in PPG Hot Rod Satin Clear. Custom hand pin stripe accents the hood and trunk. Air ride controls are hidden inside the driver’s side ash tray to keep the interior looking factory. The car draws a crowed every place I take it !

I can deliver up to 350 miles of 44133
