Here is a great car in a great color from the last great styling team for a long time at GM Bill Mitchell and his crew. They brought us the 1963 Buick Riviera, then the 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado, and finally the 1967 Cadillac Eldorado.
This example is a 1968 with 2 major updates from 1967...longer hood to cover wipers, and 472 engine replaces the long in the tooth 429. More powerful, simpler to service, and soon to be the biggest of them all the 500.
I purchased this car in the spring from a caddy collector in Ohio and drove it home-no issues made it in 1 day about 600 miles!
Here is what I know about the car-once was a low rider on bags-some of the mods are still visible underneath-biggest 1 is the exhaust-custom duals with 30 inch glasspacks and small turndowns just behind doors in front of rear wheels but not visible-completely tucked under frame so the wouldn't drag-sound great-not loud just a nice rumble. A door has been replaced and probably 1 of the front fenders. Paint is an older respray that really looks good for its age-single stage white. Interior is good-seats and carpet are nearly new-stereo is nearly new and sounds good-takes CD or aux input too. Original radio is present and seems to function-you can hear static from stock front dash speaker when you turn it on-antenna is hooked up to new stereo. I tuned the engine including a HEI distributor, new cap and rotor plugs and wires, set timingand replaced several vacuum lines. Replaced all belts so she is very quiet.Headlights still have a challenge staying closed-they stay open no problem and work fine as do all other lights but turn signals-you have to hold the lever in place for them to flash. Trans was rebuilt a year ago and is tight-I was told the engine had a timing chain and valve job. I replaced the window seals for both front windows.
A/C is all there but currently inop-as is heat-core is bypassed will need replacement. Wipers work but won't shut off so currently disconnected.
Vogue tires are new and really set the car off beautifully-this car looks good gets compliments and fires right up... big hit at cruise nights and won atrophy at a local show...this is originally an Arizona car and is not rusty like most of them-great base for where ever you want to take it.
Below are links tovideo of the car running and a quick walk around as well as underneath. Serious buyers can call me 6097601257 thanks Jett
