This Cadillac, named ‘Big Blue’ by it’s owner, has some very surprising options for 1965. It has power seats, power windows (including vent windows), power locks, AM/FM radio, cruise control, and automatic climate control with A/C. It was bought new from Rohrich Cadillac on July 8th, 1965 and remained garage kept in the Pittsburgh area it’s entire life.
This DeVille came standard with the Cadillac 429 cubic inch (7 liter) engine and a 3 speed automatic transmission. Not only does it have plenty of power, but it starts every time and has been very reliable. The ride is exactly what you expect: plush, soft, and quiet. With power steering, power brakes, and extremely comfortable soft seats it’s a tranquil driving experience, like riding in first class everywhere you go.
The interior is in very good original condition. Seats, carpets, and headliner are all in great shape. The gauges are clear and functional except for the clock. The radio, power seats, and power windows all work great. Also included are the original owner’s manual with the protect-o-plate and owner's card.
The exterior is in fair condition. The paint is oxidized worn. The chrome has some minor pitting. The glass is in good shape along with most of the trim. The wheels have a set of new Coker whitewalls (less than 300 miles) with the original stainless hubcaps.
