Wow! It's been a really long time since I have seen one of these! You are bidding on a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. This will be my 497th vehicle listed and sold here in this forum. What began as an experiment in 1998 has now become a career of eighteen years here on Ebay! |
This 1976 is a southern car and was recently traded in here in Memphis,Tn The car appears to be well sorted. The prior owner was a doctor who lived in Miami Florida. When he retire, he moved to North Carolina and parked this Eldorado in his garage. The car sat in his garage for several years and subsequentl, the tires went flat and ...his son called us to pick the car up. We sent a truck to pick the car up and we brought it into our shop, here in Memphis,Tn. We drained the fuel, installed new tires, and a battery, changed the oil and started the car. The car runs and drives. We have driven it approximately 40 miles. The car will require further sorting out, both mechanically and cosmetically, as it has essentially been in storage for over fifteen years. |
To the best of my knowledge, this Eldorado still wears its original factory paint. The color is called Dust Rose Quartz Metallic. |
Hopefully, there are a few folks out there who are looking for just such a car... |
Interior is original and would benefit greatly from cleaning. Leather is still in reasonable condition and would look great with some dye work. Miles below are believed to be original, per the prior owner. |
Depicted below are the parade boot covers. |

This is a nice unrestored 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. As stated earlier in the listing, I believe it to be wearing its factory paint from 40 years ago. This would be an excellent project for someone because it's already in pretty fair original condition. The car was owned by a doctor who had his medical practice in Miam, Florida for many years. When the doctor retired, he moved to North Carolina and put the car in a garage behind his office. The car sat for approximately 15 years, olny being started/driven occasionally. A few months ago, the doctor's son , who is a friend of mine called me and asked if I would be willing to take the car and get it running. I hired a transporter and had the car shipped to my shop here in Memphis and we put new tires on it, drained the fuel and proceeded to start the car. We took the car on a short afternoon drive and I can verify that the car runs /stops/drives/shifts. The battery will need replacement, and I noticed a fuel leak up front near the fuel pump. The brakes work but sometimes are sticky. In no way am I calling the car perfect or otherwise..It's 40years old..Old cars require constant upkeep in one way or another..You will always be working on them. This car has had quite a bit of money spent on it in the last few years, so you'll be ahead of most...The fundamentals are nice..new engine..new wheels, tires, suspension, recent interior...nice paint..and a solid body... My best educated guess is that this car is worth around $13,500 or so. I'm going to offer it without reserve. Bid whatever you think it possibly is worth. The NADA values are as follows Low retail $12,840 Average retail $18,600 High retail $32,880 follow this link to view the report Clear Florida title will be sent fedex to the new owner upon payment being recieved in full. |
Original engine runs and appears to be ok. There is a minor fuel leak at the fuel pump at the front of the engine. I don't imagine this to be a huge issue. This was GM's biggest engine at the time, 8.2 liter, or 501 CID! |
The trunk was damaged by a transport truck while the car was being transported from North Carolina to Memphis. The car will need a new decklid and body work to repair the damage properly. |
In summary, this is a neat old Cadillac convertible that needs a new home. If you have been dreaming about one of these cars for years, now is your chance! I'm offering this car without reserve price. Bidding shall commence at $19.76. If you have any questions, You are welcome to call me at 800-310-8767. |
