This Cadillac has been professionally restored and has just been completed.

The bills and receipts on this car total almost $70,000

Here is a list of some of the things that were done

1. Most of the chrome and pot metal were removed and sent to Houston,Texas

and were triple plated to show standards.....the chrome looks like fine jewelry.

2.The car was repainted it's factory original color...Metallic Silver Shefield and it is

spectacular.

All the interior is new correct perforated WHITE Leather with a matching white convertible

top.

The interior is beautifully accented with all new red carpeting, red carpeted embroidered floor mats

and a new Red dash .....and topped off with a new snowcrest white Convertible top.

Most of the rubber trim was replace and a new trunk lining was installed.

All the window motors were checked for operation and the power trunk release was repaired so

it now works correctly.

The original AM/FM push button radio was removed and will be included with the sale of this car.

In it's place is a modern Stereo AM/FM and 6 great sounding stereo speakers.

The gas tank was removed, pressure cleaned, resealed and a new fuel gauge sender installed.

The radiator was removed, internally pressured clean and reinstalled with new hoses. The brake system was

completed rebuilt, new brake lines, new brake pads, drums turned, brake cylinders rebuilt and the car stops

quickly with no "pulling" to either side.

The exhaust system is all new from front to back and the undercarriage cleaned and detailed.

The carter AFB was rebuilt and new fuel lines were installed where needed.

The Air cleaner, valve covers and engine compartment were cleaned and painted.

New belts, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, points, condenser, radiator cap, gas cap, vacuum, wiper hoses and rotor

installed and a new set of steel belted WSW tires installed less than 1000 miles ago.

The largest and highest cold cranking amps battery we could find was installed and the car starts up every time....the 1st time.

I drove the car today on the Florida turnpike at speeds ranging from 70 to 90 mph and the car is a real joy to drive. No vibrations,

plenty of power and the brakes work fabulous.

I noticed that the trip odometer works but the mileage is not being advanced. The speedometer does work correctly and the clock is only right

twice a day.

It was a beautiful 80 degree Sunny day in South Florida...we cranked up the stereo...and the next thing we knew, we were in West Palm Beach.

We stopped...had lunch and drove back to our Pompano Beach air-conditioned facility where the car will be stored until it is shipped to

it's next lucky owner.

I realize that it is not Summer like weather in a lot of the U.S. or Canada or Europe...but before you know it.....Spring and Summer will be here

and this is one "Garage Memory" anyone who loves cars would like to find in his or hers garage.

"And best of all...it's a Cadillac!"

COUTTS INDEX REVEALS CLASSIC CARS AS TOP PERFORMING PASSION INVESTMENT DURING 2014

  • Classic cars* rise 40% in 2014 and up nearly four fold since 2005
  • 2015 out performed 2014 and 2016 so far is outpacing 2015
  • Watches show biggest drop during 2014
  • Stamps and coins, only assets to increase over nine consecutive years
  • Coins continue to rise, up 176% over nine years and up 9% in 2014

Classic cars increased in value by 40% during 2014, and have increased in value nearly four fold, since 2005,according to the latest edition of the Coutts Index.

In its second year, the report shows that while passion investments have increased just 0.8% during 2014, this masks the diversity of returns of the various underlying categories which have increased overall by 80% (local currency terms) since 2005.

The Index aims to provide the global benchmark for monitoring the performance of passion assets. Developed in conjunction with Fathom Consulting, the Coutts Index captures the price return in local currency (net of the holding costs) of 14 passion assets across two broad categories: trophy property and alternative investments. Alternative investments can be further broken down into fine art, collectibles and precious items. The Coutts Index also incorporates a real estate component supplied by Savills World Research and fine art prices from Mei Moses®.

Highlights from this year’s results include:

  • Collectibles– coins have appreciated every year, up 176% since 2005. By contrast, Fine Wine was the only Collectable to see prices fall in 2014, down more than 9% in the third consecutive year of contraction after rapid price growth in 2006-07
  • Fine Art– of all the Fine Art categories, Traditional Chinese Art has seen the greatest overall price growth since 2005, more than doubling over the period. However, this was the only art category to fall in 2014 with prices contracting 13%.
  • Precious Items– 2014 was not a strong year for Jewelery or Watches with price growth for the former dropping from more than 14% in 2013 to under 2% in 2014. The average price of watches contracted by more than 17% last year, undoing some of the progress made since the recession.
