1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe beautifully restored all original frame off nut bolt restoration of a rust free California car. Car was originally built in Los Angeles, CA and restored in Oakland, CA, Bay Area. It has the correct Tropical Turquoise and India Ivory color paint combination. The new interior is the correct Black and White combination.
The car is powered by a rebuilt 265 V8 Power Pak engine with the correct Rochester 4 barrel carburetor, cast iron Powerglide transmission and dual exhausts. It also has the desirable factory Power Steering and Power Brakes. The original radio works and the clock is a reproduction. It rides on Diamond Back Radial White Wall Tires.
This car was judged at a VCCA competition in Orange County, California in 2015 and received 963 points out of a 1000 and received the First Place Junior Award. The award number is J-15-60.
The car was recently shown at a car show in Big Bear, CA in August, 2016 and won a top 20 award at the 500+ car show. And yes, it drove up and down the 8,000 ft. mountain without incident.
