2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Description

Schroeder Motors offers this affordable 2001 Corvette Z-06 for sale. We took this car in on trade towards another Z-06.

This is a 1 owner car with Cold Air Conitioning.

She & Her Ex-Husband Bought Two Corvettes the Same Day,..this was her's. She's been the only driver.

Opening Statement.

Okay,..the car runs & drives extremely well.

The Air is Cold.

The Bose Sounds Great.

It's Fast & Well Tuned.

The Tires are Quiet.

It's reliable,...I'd drive it any distance at any speed at any time.

Now,....here's where it gets interesting.....and I'm talking about the imperfections.....here's the list of things that make a difference to some.

1. Smells of Smoke.

2. Paint cracking on the Hood. Crows feet in maybe 30 to 40 places.

3. Paint fade on the tops of the doors about 3" down from the glass at the rubber seal.

4. Tear in the drivers chair.

5. Chrome wheels pitted on the insides of the dish,....exterior chome is good.

6. Ugly Window Tint....it's old and I would replace it.

7. Ugly Engine bay missing red fuel rail covers.

8. Carpets are fading in trunk and not the best up front although not horrible.

9. Wear & Tear that come with a car that was not garaged and driven everyday the weather allowed by a 60 year young smoker .

10. The headliner is tired too,...not horrible,...not great,...average in condition.

The Exterior Condition.

Generally speaking,..for being an outside car,...it looks nice from 3 feet way. Upon a closer inspection,...the faults are more noticable and would be considered to be a canidate for a repaint given the paint fade and checking on the hood. Otherwise,....from a 10mph roll from 5 ft. away,...she looks really good all things being factored in.

The Interior.

Smoke smell that has gotten better over the 3 weeks we've had it. There is a level of imperfections to all interior surfaces that will only qualify for average or lower for the miles. It's not totally unsightly,...but not new looking,...not even close....just not horrible. Know what I mean? The carpets in the trunk area are faded,....the window tint is peeling on the drivers side window and when the window is cracked for some fresh air,...you can see the tint from inside peeling from the top of the window.

The Performance.

Here's a plus! It runs awesome! It's tight, powerful and fun to drive. This is a Z06 that you can go run the livin' daylights out of and not care about spittin' rocks from the tires as you lay into it. It's a Street Beast that should hold up mehcanically. If it were me,...I'm slappin' a number on the side of the doors and "Takin' it to the Streets"....while listening to the Doobie Brothers on the way of course:)

The Bose sounds great by the way,....I think she only listened to Talk Radio:)

In Closing.

It's Ugly to some,...it okay to others and nice to only a few. It's kind of a "Riddle Wrapped Up in a Mystery Inside an Enigma" to borrowthe phrase.

On the 10 scale...it'sonly a 5.....but a 5 that you would want to date for a couple of months,...have a lot of fun with,...but not take he orshe home for Christmas to meet your family. I hope that helps....if not,...there's inspection servicesthat can come look at it for you.
