1984 Chevrolet C10 Custom Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door 5.7L
1984 Chevrolet C-10 Description
I absolutely love this truck. I purchased it in 2013 from a man who was fixing it up for his son. He had purchased it from an old man who had recently passed away. Turns out his son did not want the truck, bummer i say! I bought the truck outside of Atlanta Georgia. It has been in the south all of its life and now I am currently living in Maryland. It has been kept under a carport for the majority of its life and ever since the previous owner and I have owned it, it has lived in the garage. The paint is very good for a 32 year old vehicle. I'd put it at 90%. With a good high speed buffing it would shine like a new penny. It does have spots in the bed that show a bit of surface rust. No thin spots that I have seen. There are a few rust spots on the rocker panels. Please notice the pictures. Very minimal very light. There is no visible damage as far as dents and dings that I can see. Undercarriage and frame show no rust. Super clean underneath.
The hood seems to have been repainted or is showing a bit of fading. I cannot find any evidence of it being repainted. The truck, according to the records I have is "Apple Red" and the hood seems more of a more traditional red. Its a very slight difference. It never stuck out like a sore thumb.
The interior of the truck is super super clean. The seat has one little tear (about 2") where the lower back of the driver would make contact. It has worn a seat cover since the day I purchased it. The tear has happened since I have owned it. I took the seat covers offtonight and noticed it. Other than that its 100%. Cruise control does not work. I never really looked into fixing it or replacing it.
The drivers side door has a cracked arm rest. Easy part to find and fix. Who needs it anyway. Your arm is suppose to be hanging out the window. Thepassengers side door is in great shape. There is a bit of sun fading on the top of the door panel. It has awhitish haze to it. It currently has tinted windows so that will certainly protect it from future fading. After all, it is original to the truck.
Shortbed.
I cannot say enough about how dependable this truck is. She rumbles just right. I am told is has a sport cam in it so with the dualexhaust is purrrrrrrrrssss.
Power Windows work great and power locks too! Comes with tool box.
