1967 SS Used Manual
1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Description
STK 2130 1967 Chevelle SS396/427 If you love the sound of the big-block GM motor, this is your car. The last year of the Gen1 Chevelle was a great one. By 1967, the SS396 was no longer an option to the Chevelle line, but a model in and of itself. This beautiful Marina Blue hardtop began life as an ordinary SS396 (13817..... VIN number), but has since been fully restored and definitely enhanced. From the 427 Rat, to the vanguard suspension set-up, to the Wilwood braking system, it has been reborn. The 427 sports a dual-feed Holley, aluminum intake, full tube headers and free-flow custom exhaust. The cam has nice lift and duration, but is not radical. This Chevelle is very streetable - and sounds great. Engine cooling is managed by a heavy-duty aluminum radiator, auxiliary cooling fans and a serpentine belt system. The transmission is a 4-speed Muncie with a period correct Hurst 'Competition+' shifter. Underneath, the chassis has been totally upgraded to include a 4-link coil-over rear suspension with sway bars. The 12-bolt differential houses 3.73:1 gearing. Traction is provided by BF Goodrich radials mounted on 17" Cragar wheels. From the rear, this SS427 sits a little high on the right, just like it should - ready. Stopping power is managed by a Wilwood 4-wheel power disc package. Wilwood has been designing superior brake systems for racing applications since 1977 - only the best on this Chevelle. The Marina Blue finish was applied in 2011 and puts others to shame. The black vinyl interior is fully restored to original condition including tilt wheel, A/C, PS, tinted windows and a factory tach positioned left of the steering column. An aftermarket AM/FM/CD (10-disc changer located in the trunk) looks original, but sounds much better. This Chevelle SS427 is a unique investment. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS ISâ€.
