1969 Chevrolet Nova Twin Turbo Description

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is truly a one of a kind Nova. This 1969 Chevrolet Nova is one bad machine. Power comes from a 516 cubic inch Big Block that is fed by two giant turbos from Precision, measuring 88mm. 2,000 horsepower just doesn't happen with big cubes and a couple of turbos. Allowing the engine to produce so much power comes from a large combination of parts that are all communicating with each other perfectly. This includes aluminum AFR 385 CNC cylinder heads, Titanium & Inconel valves, T&D rocker arms, Bullitt pistons, Bill Miller aluminum connecting rods, a 4340 Lunati crankshaft, solid roller camshaft with a 4-7 firing order swap, custom intake manifold and headers to accommodate the turbos, Big Stuff 3 EFI and the list goes on and on. With this much power, you can't short cut anywhere, you're only as strong as your weakest link. The transmission is a Trans Specialties 5500 with 1.58 low gear, 9.5 inch PTC torque converter, transmission cooler, trans brake and a Bump Box 300. The rear end is a Matheis Race Cars Ford 9"(Pro Mod Case), 4.11 gears and lightened 40 spline Strange gears. In order to use a package like this and put the power down to the ground, you need a properly set up chassis. This consist of a stock frame that has been modified and uses a Ladder Bar rear suspension with an electronic traction control, Santhuff shocks front and rear, 2 inch dropped spindles and a Smith Race craft front suspension. The brakes are four wheel disc by Strange and the tire and wheel package is made up of Weld V's measuring 13x15 in the rear and 3.5x15 up front. The rear tires are 315/60 M.T. Pro Drag Radials and M.T. front runners up front. So far you know that this car is without question ready for go, but it's also ready for show. The paint is Dark Gun Metal Gray that has been fully wet sanded and buffed to a high gloss shine. The hood has custom skull graphics. The beautiful paint can also be found in the engine bay and on the valve covers. The front fenders may be the neatest part, the custom headers have Carbon Fiber dipped beauty rings for the exhaust outlet dead center of the front fenders! Inside is a full roll cage, Air to Water intercooler, Simpson racing seat, detachable steering wheel, Race Pak data controller, Proline shifter and twin Halon fire systems.
