1965 Corsa Used Manual
1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Description
STK 2146 1965 Corvair Corsa
This Corsa, a California car, handles well, plenty of turbocharged power and a great sound through the factory-style turbo-muffler. Consider this - Porsche has made a living with this basic concept since..
The Corvair was introduced in 1960 as a compact economy car with a rear-mounted, air-cooled flat-6 engine, automatic or manual transaxle and 4-wheel independent suspension. The first performance model, the Monza Spyder, was introduced in 1962. It had a 145ci/150hp turbocharged engine - GM's first production turbo - and was a strong performer.
In 1965, GM introduced the Gen2 Corvair - much more stylish and comfortable. All second generation Corvairs had an increased engine displacement of 164ci. Our restored Corvair is a Corsa - the new performance model.
The Corsa came with two engine options - a standard 140hp 4-carb version and the rarer turbocharged format. Our Corsa is a turbo. It runs very well.
The Corsa body received a total respray in 2015. The color is a close color match to Corvair 'N' code Madeira Maroon. The black vinyl interior has also been nicely refreshed and looks very much like it did in 1965 (including the AM radio).
Radials are mounted on 14 road wheels with simulated wire-wheel covers. (Original 13 versions are also available) . ALL VEHICLES SOLD AS IS.
