Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to showcase this stunning 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air. Chevrolet's multi-million dollar re-design of the Bel Air was on full display for the 1956 model year. With its full face grille and streamlined body and unique trim, it remains a favorite to this day. This example is dressed in its Sunday Best, showcasing a continental kit, stone guards, stainless rocker molding, fender birds, rear fender skirts, two-tone paint, and character a-plenty. It rides on B.F. Goodrich Silvertown wide white tires all around with wire covers. Power comes from a recently (2015) rebuilt 327 4bbl. This car is a pleasure to drive. It has manual brakes and steering, steers great and stops well. The paint is in very good condition, a solid driver quality base/clearcoat finish, not perfect but shows very well. The stainless brightwork shows exceptionally well front to back. The body is straight and the undercarriage is very solid, indicative of a dry climate car. According to the trim data, this was always an Onyx black Bel Air. The Silver really adds to the mystique of this Chevrolet.

Dealer accessories include matching fender skirts, stone guards, a continental kit, color-keyed steel windshield visor, stainless rocker molding, and fender birds.

The wheels of choice are factory steel 15-inchers fitted with updated B.F. Goodrich Silvertown wide whitewall tires all around. The wire wheel covers are just beautiful.

As always, we would like to thank the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum for their historic aviation presence in many of our photos. Be sure to visit the Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas.

Under the hood is a vintage 327 V8, last rebuilt in 2015 with few miles logged. This engine has a 4bbl. carburetor atop a polished aluminum intake.

Open the doors to 1956. This interior is just wonderful and correct to the time period

The two-tone vinyl and silverthread upholstery is in very good condition front to back.

The classic brightwork on the dash has never looked better. Check out the vintage tissue dispenser & clock. A cluster of three gauges have been discreetly mounted underdash to monitor oil pressure, voltage, and water temperature.

The undercarriage is exceptionally solid. The frame and floor pans show very well as do the floor braces.
