1995 Chevrolet Impala 4dr Sedan Description

Vehicle Overview The Impala SS returned in the mid-90s' after a 25-year hiatus and was immediately welcomed by performance enthusiasts. Based on the Chevrolet Caprice sedan, the SS has a beefed-up LT1 V8 producing 260 horsepower; a lower, heavy-duty suspension derived from the Caprice police car of the era; larger brakes; a limited-slip differential; and dual exhaust. General Motors enhanced the look of the full-size sedan by adding special five-spoke aluminum wheels and a rear spoiler and all of its exterior chrome trim was deleted. The Impala SS was far meaner than any standard Caprice, able to run to 60 mph in 7.0 seconds and through the quarter mile in 15.4 seconds, scorching other contemporary four-door muscle machines. While the SS is performance oriented it also includes a laundry list of comfort and convenience features such as air conditioning, leather bucket seats, cruise control and a host of other power accessories.
