Selling my 2005 corvette located in Abington,Ma 02351 - Clean carfax report!
This car was previously owned for the last 8 years by an elderly couple that hardly ever used it and for the last 2 years has been sitting unused.I recently bought the car with cash so i do have the title in my name, Ive been driving it for the last month and its a blast to drive and everybody stares at me when im driving it.This car has always been adult owned its whole life.Winter time here in Ma is not to far away and I dont have a place to store the car over the long winter season so ive decided to sell the car here on ebay because not to many people around here want a corvette this time of year.The car drives beautifully but has some common/cosmetic flaws here and there - As i said before this car was sitting unused for the last 2 years until I bought it so beacause of that it did and does need some maintenance.Here is a list of what ive done and what it needs:
#1 Needed tires which i already replaced (all 4) so thats all set
#2 B/c it was sitting I bought new plugs and wires for it but the dealership said it didnt need them so ill give them to the new owner
#3 I replaced the tensioner pulley and both serpentine belt and a/c belt
#4 I did a full synthetic oil change
#5 I replaced both air filters and the cabin air filter
#6 I replaced the a/c tensioner and pulley
#7 Has newer brakes on it
#8 I tightened the bolts for the targa top bc it was making noise,now it doesnt
#9 Passed inspection with no problems
#10 I cleaned and replaced both electronic door handles
#11 New battery
What the car needs is:
#1 Harmonic Balancer is starting to "wobble" which is a common problem with 2005 corvettes - my mechanic said it fine to drive but recommends fixing it before another 10,000 miles - the part is $100 on ebay
#2 Former owner rubbed drivers door and back corner on a post in his driveway so the drivers door has scratches and 1 small area has deeper scratches on door and the back corner has scratches + under the kick panel where you cant see - a body shop quoted me $600 to repaint/fix those areas
#3 The needle guages wont move but its only the needle guages on the dash,everything else works even the heads up display which shows all the guage info you need like speed,temps,etc...
- dealership said bc it sat so long with a dead battery the guages need to be reprogrammed with a tech 2 scanner - i didnt fix it bc i use the heads up display
#4 Car has light scratches here and there but could be buffed out
#5 drivers door electronic pad takes a second to open but thats normal on these corvettes
#6 once in a great while the shifter wont move out of park but after trying 2-3x it moves and this happens once in a great while - common thing with these corvettes
This car is 100% drivable everyday as it is and ive priced it low for a quick sale.If you need it shipped i can bring it to my work where there is plenty of room for a big truck to pick it up - shipping is 100% up to you to arrange.
