1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS Description

4 Sale: Camaro SS (RARE) 19k Actual miles. PERFECT condition!
  • Body: Original Paint like new. No dents or dings. Has never been driven in rain. =Perfection!
  • Engine: Runs and drives like new. 6 Speed manual shifts smoothly.
  • Mechanics: Everything works like it did from the factory.
  • Interior: Flawless, still has new car smell- no one has ever smoked in car.
There simply isn't ANY issues with this Camaro SS
Clean/clear title in-hand in my name. No accidents, not even the smallest of door dings. I can email you a Autocheck report if you do not have the service. This car still has the original tires (no dry cracking/stored in controlledenvironment).
They did not make many "SS's" -can't imagine a nicer '98 exists on the planet.
The car was ordered by original owner without the SS badges on side, just the back. He also made the dealership put on a new bumper after the drilled holes for the plates making this rare SS even rarer. The color is blue (metallic- great depth and more sharp in person-changes colors based on lighting-less light looks black)-also, rare.
Have Original Window Sticker, manuals, factory SS leather shift knob (still in box), and GM factory air cleaner cover in box (currently has those minor cosmetic alterations and like new factory can be put back on in no time if you would like me to do that.
Feedback: I have sold 8 vehicles from my high-end "show car" muscle car collection over the years = 100% positive feedback on all 8. Most recently a 1970 AMX ($26k+) -see completed. I can provide recommendations upon request. Bid with confidence!
-Contact me (Sean) with any questions262.377.0537. I can get ANY pictures you want.Car is selling with no reserve so high bidder will be the owner - the only problem I have had in the past doing this is non-payment from high bidder so PLEASE only bid if you intend to buy. If you mid-way down the window sticker on right side you will see the "SS Performance/Appearance Package option"(was $3,500 extra)
.

A quick FYI: Hagerty probably tracks the value of collector cars better than anyone else (realized prices from auctions/"the market"). They recently updated their values for the 1998 Camaro SS and gave them a bump up in value. Keep in mind that while they do make adjustments for certain aspects of the car - example: In the case of this car if it had an Automatic transmission the price adjustment would be to deduct 20% from the value. The problem is they don't adjust for things like mileage, provenance, and documentation/paperwork (ex. = window sticker).
If you care to check out their site I have provided a link to the 1998 Camaro SS Page below. They provide production #'s, current and historical value charts (3 and 5 years), value adjustments (mentioned above), and some other interesting information related to the vehicle. I would rate this particular car a strong #2 - you could easily turn this car into a Concours or as I like to say "trailer-queen", but then you basically can't drive the car - no dust or debris whatsoever - where's the fun in that"? Hopefully the link below works - otherwise go to Hagerty DOT COM - it's easy tomaneuver through their site.

I forgot to add this in the initial description:Have both sets of keys with remotes:

I also have the two minor cosmetic changes - the "Air Box" and the "shifting knob" (both mint condition). The shifting knob is black leather and kind of looks like a little baseball. Both can easily be reapplied. Lastly, the license plate front bumper holder from dealer is under the shift knob (obviously unused).

Had someone text me - "does the car have any gravel chips?" - NO-not at all, this is a higher end #2 car. I have been collecting cars for 25+ years. Some people would call it a #1 car, I wouldn't because that is a car that is trailed from show to show (free of dust and dirt)- and then detailed in between. I would rather error on the side of downgrading my car a little bit, that is why I have always gotten positive feedback on ebay and anywhere else.
BTW- I will have the car detailed before it leaves my possession.
