2003 Chevrolet built the 50th Anniversary edition Corvette. They also authorized the Milestone Edition that was designed by Dana Forrester in conjunction with the National Corvette Museum. This car is number 68 out of 1,000 Limited Edition commemorative cars that were commissioned to be built, but less than 100 cars were ever built and sold. The exact number of cars in the market place today is unknown. The Milestone Commemorative Corvette Program was approved by Corvette Brand Manager Rick Baldick. Each Milestone car received sequentially numbered unique body graphics, numbered engraved dash plaque, embroidered floor mats, Z06 wheels, Corsa exhaust, Donaldson Blackwing air intake system and a Limited Edition original print of the car signed and numbered by Dana Forrester.
