1958 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 4 Door Sport Coupe Description

This Bel Air has the classic 348 engine, the first of Chevy's big block motors. This engine is a strong runner, and we replaced everything on the outside of the motor including:New Edelbrock 600 CFM 4 barrel carburetor, new custom air cleaner, all new ignition system, new starter, rebuilt generator, all new wiring to engine and lights from firewall forward. New heavy duty aluminum radiator, custom 5-blade fan, all new brass freeze plugs, new water pump, new heater core and fan heater motor, all new radiator and heater hoses. New motor mounts, new battery, new fuel pump and all new lines, all new brake shoes with rebuilt master and wheel cylinders, all new brake hoses and lines, four new classic wide whitewall tires with baby moon hub caps, all new dual exhaust system with custom glass pack mufflers. The custom paint job is PpG Delfleet single stage urethane and it was applied by Back Alley Restorations in Moorpark Ca..
On the underside of the car there are new shock absorbers and we rebuilt steering control arm and new idler arm. The bottom of body has a thick under coating to keep the noise down and the frame and suspension parts are all painted black. The drive shaft was removed and re-balanced and 3 new universal joints were installed and a new carrier bearing assembly. New bearings and seal were installed on the differential input shaft.
All interior metal work was painted cream color to match the top section of the car. We purchased a new custom made black carpet for the floor with a heavy padding. We rebuilt 2 front vent window assemblies with new glass and rubber seals. We replaced one of the door window glass and the rest are in good shape. The windshield and rear window are missing so they will need to be purchased. Included also is a custom cream colored head liner with 2 matching head liners and four matching arm rests. The dashboard has a new ignition switch, light switch, wiper switch and custom aluminum trim kit. The seats need to be upholstered as do the door panels. We installed a new wiper motor and bushings. We have most of stainless steel exterior moldings but they will need polishing and some will need to be straightened. We have many new parts that are needed to complete this car and we will include some pictures. We have a clear and current title for the car in my name.
