1952 Used Automatic
1952 Chevrolet Deluxe Street Rod Description
STK 2097 1952 Chevy Deluxe Street Rod For over 30 years, Bob Dron built custom motorcycles and street rods in Oakland CA. This rare '52 Chevy Deluxe Hardtop is one of his best. When introduced in 2003, it was used as the cover car on Custom Rodder Magazine. This is a show quality car that is also a great driver. Originally a California car, the Chevy received a total restoration with a broad range of mechanical enhancements. The chassis was retailored to mount a power-assisted Mustang II rack-and-pinion front end with Art Morrison tubular control arms and Currie 9" Ford differential with 3.73:1 positraction. The fully modified suspension utilizes 4-bar Bilstein coil-over shocks. Horsepower is provided by a GM Performance Parts 454 crate motor in mostly stock trim (Edelbrock carb/intake) backed by a 700-R4 overdrive automatic. Mated with power-assisted disc brakes on all four corners, this is a very reliable combination. This classic sits low on a set of period-correct 15" chrome-reverse wheels, '56 Chevy hubcaps and Coker wide-white radials. The body is stock, but rests a lot nicer now on the chassis. Paint is PPG chrome-yellow and white two-tone, hand rubbed and beautiful. All of the brightwork has been replated and polished to perfection. That said, the inside looks anything but stock. The white leather time-honored 'tuck-and-roll' provides a stunning impact. The steering wheel is a '57 Chevy reproduction on an ididit tilt column. There are power seats and power windows (note the original window cranks still on the doors - nice touch). For road-friendly cruising, the '52 has Vintage A/C and an AM/FM/CD sound system. Everything about this car is first-class. This handsome Chevy street rod will soon make one new owner very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS ISâ€.
