Beginning in 2002 Chevrolet began manufacturing limited edition specialty nameplate models after then current Nascar drivers and this was the first. The Dale Earnhardt Intimidator Edition featured an all black body with with galaxy silver rocker panels and front and rear air dams. In addition to the standard SS badging this edition also featured the Intimidator logo on the trunk lid as well as an Intimidator badge on the dash and the number 3 with Dale Earnhardts signature on instrument cluster.
Included as a standard powertrain was the ever popular and ultra-reliable 200 Horsepower L36 3800 Series II V6 Engine nestled in an aluminum engine designed to limit noise and vibration. This is mated with a 4 speed automatic front wheel drive transmission and together created an astounding 20 city and 29 highway MPG. Additional options on this black beauty include power moonroof, overhead digital display, 5-spoke diamond cut wheels, 2-tone black and gray leather heated bucket seats, anti-lock brakes, traction control, cruise control, remote keyless entry with alarm, OnStar, AM/FM Cassette and CD Player with built in Driver Information Center, and dual exhaust. Included with this sale are 2 hardcover books, a Dale Earnhardt collector stein, never unwrapped floor mats and the original dealer window sticker still attached from the factory. This vehicle has never seen snow or salt and still smells like a brand new car.
