1985 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Short Bed Pickup
This one owner, lowmileage, 100% rust free solid pickup is an amazing survivor. Purchased new in California this pickup spent its life there until I brought it to Idaho when the original owners retired to Oregon. This pickup was garaged nearly every day of its life which is why the condition is so great. This pickup has an AutoCheck score of 71!!! while most are an average of 29-53. I have included the full report in the additional pictures at the bottom of the description. The body is wonderful and straight with no dents and only very minimal paint imperfections from being driven very little over the past 31 years. The paint still shines up great and the original glass is all very nice with one minor rock chip in the front windshield. The interior is outstanding with all of its original panels, dash, carpet, plastic, and seat upholstery in place. This pickup runs and drives nicely in town as well as on the freeway with great acceleration, smooth shifts, and braking as it should. Everything is in great working order including headlights, brake lights, running lights, blinkers, wipers, cruise control,courtesylight, power windows, power locks, A/C(may need charged), heater fan, defrost, vents, speedometer, gas gauge(both tanks), temp gauge, oil gauge, battery gauge, electric choke, and seat belt light. It seems thecigarettelighter and radio are not working right now but may be a fuse.
The original owner took wonderful care of this pickup making sure thatmaintenance and oil changes were done when they needed to be. There are no oil or coolant fluid leaks or drips. Besides the yearly tune-ups that he had the service department do to the pickup they had recently installed a new water pump, thermostat, radiator, battery, front disc rotors, and rear drums in 2010.
The original owner had a few things done to this pickup from the dealership in the late 80's including one re-paint from the dealership body shop due to the common GM paint adhesion problem from vehicles of this era. He also had the dealership install a high quality dual pop up sunroof in 1988 which cost him $745(in 1988!). The only other item he had purchased was in 1996 and that was a color matched hard fiberglass tonneau cover with gas struts and locks which can be taken off and put on very easily(shown in additional pics below).
Although this pickup is in amazing condition it is still a 31 year old vehicle and is not restored, but an original. It is not a new pickup or had a complete restoration and is not priced as so. There will be minimal wear around the pickup from being driven as expected. There are a few minor imperfections that I have listed here and included pictures in the description below. The passenger side mirror has a small ding the size of a penny in the chrome. The windshield has a small rock chip the size of a pencil eraser head near the center bottom. The right front fender has a small scuff spot about 1 inch by 2.5 inch. The inside of bed shows multiple scratches and minor chips from being used over the past 31 years. Last the seat has a small tear in it that was stitched up to keep from spreading.
