Outstanding Van Nuys, CA built Z28 with all original drive train and original sheet metal! Special order Classic Copper color with delete stripes! Factory 4-speed example supplied with two build sheets! Great options, beautiful presentation, and only showing 63,800 original miles! Superb buy!
With a delay in offering the next generation Camaro to the market, the 1969 model year carried its production into January of 1970. The newly styled Camaro finally hit dealer showrooms around February 1970, so this model year is often referred to as the 1970½. Although Chevrolet still managed to produce nearly 125,000 Camaros to an eagerly awaiting public, only 8,733 were equipped with the powerful Z28 Special Performance Package!
The Z28 Retail Production Order option granted buyers a completely new LT1 350ci V8 engine producing a mighty 360 horsepower and 380 ft. lbs. of torque! It also included a heavy duty radiator, bright engine accents, hood insulation; special suspension with front and rear sway bars, heavy duty front and rear springs; 15”x7” wheels with F60x15 white letter tires, bright lug nuts, trim rings, and special center caps; blacked out grill, Z28 badging on all sides; dual exhaust; rear spoiler and sport stripes; special dash instrumentation with 150mph speedometer and tachometer!
We are extremely pleased to offer this largely original and incredibly solid 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28! Finished in its original special order color of code-67 Classic Copper that called for delete stripes over Standard Black Vinyl interior (original code 711). Factory fitted equipment included power disc brakes, M21 4-speed Muncie Close ratio transmission, center console, 3.73:1 Posi-Transaction rear axle, working AM/FM radio, dual sport mirrors with driver remote, and front and rear spoilers. This car survived out of California possessing all its original sheet metal and remains virtually rust free throughout! All body seams, gaps, spot welds, floor pans, chassis rails are all factory spec and in spectacular condition! Most importantly, it maintained its original, numbers matching drivetrain and components showing only 63,869 miles on the odometer today! This is a very difficult asset to find in any solid lifter powered Chevrolet these days!
