This car from the factory was a true SS V-8 car that was Satin Silver over a Medium Blue Metallic interior. The car came from the factory with a 4 speed transmission. It was built the 1st week of January in the Kansas City plant. The previous owner lived in California and brought it here to Illinois with him some years ago, he then moved back to California, and I bought the car before he left.
The car has right about $5,500 worth of updated modern suspension & brake parts and the car is powered by a healthy 383 stroker small block that was built specifically for this car. The motor has an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake / Edelbrock carb / stainless headers / 3” exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers / HEI ignition. The transmission is a TH350 (Turbo 350) that also was built for this car. The rear end is a 12-bolt with 3:73 gears and Posi-Trac. The car also has a modern aluminum radiator with dual electric fans to keep it cool.

The suspension upgrades to this car were provided by CPP in the form of their STAGE III Pro-Touring Suspension kit: http://www.classicperform.com/Store/Pro-Touring-Kits/6467PTK-3.htm
This kit consists of basically everything suspension wise under the car. The kit uses tubular upper/lower A-frames up front along with coil-over shocks. In the rear the trailing arms are all tubular, and the top link are adjustable. You get big power disc brakes front and rear with cross-drilled and slotted rotors. The rear is also held up by coil-over shocks, so adjusting stance front or rear is a simple task. The brakes come as a complete system, so you get the properly matched master cylinder / proportioning valve / etc. Both the front and rear also got huge sway bars. This car also has the optional power steering setup with a matched pump & steering sector.
The car rides on Weld Drag-Lite wheels and has 275/60R15 tires tucked out back
Since the car spent most of its life in California, the underside is decent. It has had some floor pan patches, but structurally it is very solid. The trunk has also had some patches, but overall is very solid also. The body does have some dents / wrinkles here and there (see pics).
No matter how I set up my camera the car looks Black…..It even looks Black in person, but if you look very closely it is actually a very dark Plum.
YOU CAN DRIVE AND ENJOY THIS CAR AS-IS AND JUST WATCH IT GO UP IN VALUE YEAR AFTER YEAR……..BUT IF YOU GO TO THE TROUBLE TO RE-PAINT IT, THE CAR SHOULD HAVE A SERIOUS JUMP IN VALUE SINCE IT HAS ALREADY HAD THE MONEY SPENT ON THE MECHANICALS. I LOVE THE WELD WHEELS, BUT THERE ARE ALSO A LOT OF MODERN WHEEL CHOICES OUT THERE THAT WOULD ALSO UP THE VALUE AND APPEAL TO A LARGER CROWD OF ENTHUSIASTS.
MY ASKING PRICE BASICALLY COVERS THE COST OF SUSPENSION PARTS AND THE MOTOR / TRANSMISSION / REAREND BUILD & UPGRADES…….IT DOESN’T TAKE INTO ACCOUNT MOST OF THE LABOR INVOLVED, OR THE COST OF THE TRUE SS CHEVELLE ITSELF. I HAVE ALSO ADDED A “BEST OFFER” OPTION, SO YOU CAN NAME YOUR OWN PRICE
A COOL “OLD SCHOOL CHEVY” BODY STYLE, BUT WITH MODERN CAR HANDLING AND UPGRADED HORSEPOWER AND PERFORMANCE…….ALL FOR LESS THAN BUILDING ONE YOURSELF FROM SCRATCH. AND SINCE IT’S A TRUE SS CAR, IT WILL HOLD ITS VALUE AND MAKE YOU MONEY OVER TIME
