I hate to sell this car, but another has caught my eye, and we have to let this one go. I’ve owned it for going on 6 years. It originally came from the San Diego area. I was an extensive rebuild and was featured in Eckler’s Classic Chevy magazine. It’s a really nice car and has had a lot of quality work done to it. This car is built to be reliable, drive and enjoy – fun for you and the whole family. It runs and drives excellent. It does not overheat. I’ve had this car in many summer-time parades with no problems. Don’t be scared off by the dual carb set-up. Edelbrock designed it to be very street-able with an electronic choke and progressive throttle linkage. It starts easily. Fuel economy is a reasonable 12 in town and 16 on the highway. Sure, it’s overkill, but when you pop open the hood, pow! What a looker. Winner of many show awards. The paint is an amazing color and is the most commented on feature of the car. It looks black in low-light conditions. The dark green pops in sunlight which gives a pleasant surprise to the observer. The paint is needing some attention in spots if you want a 10-point show-car finish, but for me it’s not really a priority. The hood needs the most; however, the car is very presentable and looks great in the line-up. The interior color compliments the look very nicely with leather seats, wool carpet, custom built and hand-fitted burl wood inserts in the dash and door panels. The ride quality is super. The body was sprayed with sound deadener and it mitigates the outside noise well.
